The RS3 was rated very high in a test by SCCA Sportscar magazine. They said it was the closest to an R comp they tested. Also ranked high were Dunlop star specs and Bridgestone RE11. They said any of those were a great choice given a good set up. I have discussed RS3s with a driver from Modifies magazine and he told me the RS3 is likely the fastest 140 treadwear tire out there if shaved. They are soft. I bought a set and tried em on summit main. I'm no pro but they felt great!

Are u looking for rims for a Z? The Nismo LMGT4 on the midA are a good deal.$500 less than I paid for mine. They are super light and strong. 8.5 front, 9.5 rear I think.

Thanks for the info Gator. I am looking for rims for my Z. The reason for the cobra-r rims is that I saw one of the moran brothers running them on his subie. I looked them up and they are 17 x 9 with the same bolt pattern as ours. Granted they may be heavier than the LMGT4's, but they are definitely cheaper. 18 inch tires will cost me quite a fortune vs. 17's which are cheaper.

Just to close the loop on this, look what showed up this weekend.

Not too often you get to see one of these $230k beauties at full song!

Definitely the star of the show.

But then look- only one 350Z showed up for track day and look what good taste the Ferrari driver had........

Yeah I was there on Saturday and I saw your Z. I didn't get a chance to see you run though. I did see the Ferrari run though. There was a silver Z there with bronze rims as well. I don't think he was running as well.

Mine was the Silverstone Z with Bronze TE37s parked near the grid by the classroom building. Lots of carbon stuff. I did not go out as I was working this event. Did some low speed orientation laps to refresh my memory but "at speed" is completely different. I saw a black Z drive through just looking around. Maybe you?
