1st three runs I spun....then the last run was going to be a 54.0-54.4ish, but I had a lapse of concentration and f'd up....nearly spinning again.

I was like 12 out of 160 in pax at the practice event......finished 70 out of 190 today. Terrible.

Side note....NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS TODAY. Swapped out the plugs, coil (on cyl 2), swapped the injector from 2 to 4 (just to troubleshoot), and re-torqued the plenum down in correct order in/lbs. Have 200mi and 4 hard runs on it with no light. Small victory in an otherwise fail day.

Thanks for the results

I still cant believe I ate that very last cone on the last run head on! I still dont know what I was thinking that I spaced out like that :P

I always have clean runs. And If I wouldnt have ****ed up that one, I would have been fourth.

Oh well, next time I'll do better!

Hey Mike,

What is the difference between the SCCA Solo we just did and the "Autocrossers, Inc. Championship Event #1" that is up for next week?

I do not know if I should go to the SCCA next week or the one from the NCC since they have $1 runs at the end of the day.

AI is filled with many of the same people. It is basically the club level SCCA events. It will be a very fast group, like SCCA. I was planning on going, but they moved the schedule up so that first car is off at 9am (they want to be done by 1230pm). Since it is 85-90 miles away I doubt I will make it. I'd have to leave by about 6am.

I will probably be at CDC Bowie on Saturday.

So

WDCR Solo Championship Events
And
Autocrossers, Inc. Championship Events

Are different championships? Like for example CDCs and NCCs but inside the same SCCA?

They are different entities, yes. It's just the same group of people. The courses at SCCA and AI are faster and a bit longer than the other clubs. They are designed by guys that run national level, etc.

Guys, if any of you intend to run with CDC on Saturday.....I would sign up now. There are already a large number of entrants, and they have been known to close registration early.

I am debating on going here and getting an amazing alignment for $220 http://atspeedmotorsports.com/
Absolutely!

We provide race and custom alignments every day. Our machine is accurate to 1/100th mm and my guys that align your car are the same ones who build the cars we race.

Alignments range from $220-$299 depending upon the car in question and the parameters adjusted.

To corner balance a car is $115.

Please call or email Zane (attached) my Service Manager for an appointment.

My best and thanks for the opportunity.

Bob
or just going to the shop down the strip from Hill's and helping the tech do the alignment to make sure its what I want (agreed to allow me to do this for $150)

Im debating if the extra $70 is worth it. Or maybe doing the alignment with the tech then taking it to get corner balanced at ATSPEED

I get my car done at P-Tuning. It runs 100-150 depending on what I want. It is 300 or 350 with corner balancing.

I get mine done like 4 times a year.....every time I have called I have been able to get an appointment when I wanted. It's like an hour and half drive for me as well. You can get a 1 year unlimited alignments for 400.

Are you going to Bowie on Saturday?

Also, Roberto and others who may be interested, if you plan to run AI in Waldorf.....you need to sign up NOW! It is going to be limited to 90 entrants due to time constraints. I believe there are ~70 already signed up. Don't wait. If it weren't for the high probability of rain I would probably run AI, but they require money with registration. If it rains on Saturday...at least I won't be out 35 bucks. I don't have rain tires....so if there is weather I won't be anywhere on Saturday.
