Agreed....I am having serious racing withdrawals. Got another set of hoosiers today.....now have 2 sets. Along with the massive new front sway bar and LSD....I want some FTD's.

I hope so. Knowing the Mid-A probably not. I am having super racing withdrawals. I'm hoping to be 2 seconds faster this year just from experience alone.

I don't know the rules for running in STR with the SCCA. If I have the right equipment I will run, but if I don't I will just run the BMW and CDC events.

As far as I can tell you are STR, but it's a tough class for the z's.

Yeah I don't want to compete in a class where I won't have a legit shot at being towards the top.

A good benchmark would be James Dunham and Chris Lin....they do a fair amount of BMW NCC and do fairly well in SCCA.

I will have to look and see what those guys drive. Are you going to any of the NCC events this year?

Probably. They are generally about as quick as Jon Moon for reference.

Even if you aren't competitive....coming out to an SCCA event would probably be beneficial. The courses are VERY fast....with minimal cones.

Plus....you get to see cars that are far faster than any you will see at local clubs..

Example: UMD FSAE car
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95XVYSkKK70

At the last SCCA event...
I ran 50-51s
The XP Cobras high 47's
UMD SAE................................HIGH 39's

Crazy fast.
