instructors got as many runs in as they could during lunch and after all students got 4runs in. instructors also got to drive the students' car to 'demonstrate' the proper tech, which I thought was crap. no person can just jump into somebody else's car and demonstrate how to drive when the instructor has no idea how the car is setup.
I got carbonetics carbon disc 1.5

I would much rather have the student drive my car or ride in my car. I can't predict how someone elses will run. Also, novices tend to forget the little things.....like making sure the lugs are tight, etc. Don't like driving something with an unknown like that.

I won't name names, but the whole "instructor demonstration" left a bad taste in my mouth. An instructor decided to dump my clutch on an excercise that had nothing to do with lauching. Thanks *******. It's not even about the wear, smell, or comment about how my clutch was slipping. It's about respect, you don't mess with another person's car.
Needless to say, if we have "instructor demonstration" again, I am just not going to participate.

I don't know a lot of the guys over there, but what was the exercise for? If I'm there...you are more than willing to ride with during the fun runs. Of course the car will be so much different than last year....not sure how it will react the first time out.

I know PCA is having a school on the April 4th as well. The format is roughly the same. I thought about volunteering to instruct there as well, but not sure how they would feel about that. The median age group over there is probably close to fifty. They treated me well though the event I attended, but not sure how they feel about being instructed by someone in his mid 20's. It's a smaller group than BMW, same site, and all things being equal.....slower than the group at BMW from looking at it. I came in like 5th overall out of ~60 cars at the last event.

Anyone of you guys (Barn, Bigcloud, or VTchang) plan on attending the BMW school on March 5? I volunteered to instruct. They probably won't want me though since I haven't run one of their events, but if a few 350z's sign up they may change their tune. Just a thought. Not sure what the format is, etc, but I will have the z there on the hoosiers. I'll be happy to give rides and maybe let you guys drive it if they allow that. The hoosiers are very expensive and don't last long at all though....so I probably will have to limit you guys to 1 or 2 runs at the max. We'll play it by a year. Also, don't know what the cost is....?

I was a few tenths ahead of AJ at the last test and tune with CDC. I think he was 34.9 to my ~34.5. Moon was consistently about .3-.5 faster than me the last few events last year. That was with a totally wrecked rear viscous and toyo's though. Hoosiers + real LSD should be a 2 sec improvement on a ~40 sec course. Also, the battery in the car will be 25lbs lighter than last year. That plus the new rear exhaust section (-30lbs) and 16lbs less rotating mass should really improve things. It's all speculation until I can get out there, but yes, I expect to be about 2 secs faster on average. Some of that will be course dependent though.

Wow that's really impressive. You would clean up at the NCCA events. It wouldn't be fun. AJ ran away with the x4 last year and I assume he will do the same this year. I don't think I will be anywhere close to you, AJ or Moon this year (2 seconds behind this year). I'm working on my driving mod this year.
