Default ??? for No Va residents

Hey guys,
I'm thinking of moving to an apartment in Arlington. My question is do you guys know any good places to rent or where not to rent around there? Any input is welcome.

Thank You

Check the Ballston/Clarendon area those spots have a lot of nice bars and places to hang out and eat.be carefull to not get in a situation were you are going to have to park your Z on the street because parking is limited in Arlington ..unless that dosent matter to you.

I'm trying to find a place with garage parking, if not then at least a parking lot. Street parking is a negative for me. I will check out some places in the Ballston area. Thank you

I currently work in Rockville.

might have a spot for you, w/ a garage:

Oakton, VA, on the Reston/Herndon side of things. Its convenient to a lot of places: Reston Town Center, Veinna Metro, 66, 267, Fair lakes, Fair oaks. Decent sized house, approx. 2 acres, 5.5 garage bays (2 car attached, 3.5 car detached).

The room costs $545 + utils. Share of utils will likely run between $35 and $80. Gas is filled once to twice a year and costs ~$300 ea.

Everyone there is a ricer and I believe he said he may have a spot opening up on April 1st. Garage is like a full-blown shop - completely filled top to bottom w/ tools of everything you can imagine for all types of jobs. Everyone who lives there is a DIY guy.

I'll txt him to find out more details if you're interested.

Wouldn't Gaithersburg make more sense if you work in Rockville? The commute from VA will be hell no matter what for work. I used to commute from Rockville to Alexandria every single day, and it sucked!

Right... I'd totally stay somewhere in Maryland if I work in Rockville! People only live in Arlington if you work in DC or somewhere close by in NOVA. Rockville itself has tons of places for rent!

Thanks for the input guys. I've done some calling around today and price matching. It's looking roughly the same compared to Rockville. I think I'm gonna shoot for that or Gaithersburg. One of my reasons was to get closer to DC but in Rockville the metro is right there anyways so that covers that. Anh that sounds great but I was trying to stay on the other side of 495. My suspension and 66 East bound do not get along very well.

I've got a new rental listing in Ballston coming up -- 1 bedroom with garage parking across the street from the Mall.
