Exclamation [NoVA] Driver side window giving out

Hey guys,

My driver side window motor seems to be giving out, when I auto roll it up, it keeps going down, sometimes doesn't even work. Where is the closest place near Springfield, VA area I can take it to get it replaced for cheap?

Thanks

once you have the new motor you just take the door a part and swap out the motors.

Let me do mine this Friday and once I see how it goes I'll let you know if I feel like doing yours. I'm doing both doors on my car so by the time I'm done I should have a good feel for it. You have a G35, right? should be similiar. Last Friday my brother and I took the manual windows out of his F150 and installed a whole power window setup so swapping the motors shouldn't be near that bad.

So it goes up, then when it hits the top most point come back down 1/4 way?

These cars have a safety feature to prevent pinched fingers. You need to adjust the window motor to tell it when it hits the window frame. There is a reset procedure, you can look it up online.

Agreed. Its not a damaged motor. The window is either hitting something on the way up or getting stuck somehow. Or the window motor does not know when up is.

I have done the sensor reset, problem still persists, and sometimes the window won't even go up or down.
