VIR Track Day May 4-5
VIR was a blast. I ended up with the Chief instructor of ALL of VIR. I learned so much. Had an awesome time. Didn't know my car was that fast.
I was able to run a best time of 2:21.062. I was able to hit 140 on the front and back straights consistently. I was also able to brake decrease my braking zones considerably. My instructor worked on offline passing (solo group preparation), and proper braking zone establishment. A more thorough review to come....
On another note I got to ride in a GT-R around VIR and I must say it was other worldly. The turn in and cornering speeds that car has is phenomenal. More to come....
Here are some pics. The first pic is the view in front of my room!!! Track side rooms for the win. I was just able to roll out of bed and get in my car.
Oh there were a couple of Spec Z's there. Got to talk to the owners I am definitely turning my Z into a race car for the Spec Z series. Stay tuned for a Spec Z build.

I wouldn't bother building your Z into a race car, bigcloud. I know someone who has several 350z's that are already caged, etc ready for sale. They are T2/3 cars, which means you will have to swap over to spec suspension, but other than that most of the rules are fairly similar now. I know one of Brian Kleeman's ex T2 cars can be had for as little as 14k...
