Can you point out to me which stock Bullitt you're referring to, that's running low 13's. BTW, drag radials don't count as 'stock tires' just incase you bring JB Vobra up.

This is the post I was relying on. It is the one by williamflynn near the bottom of the page. He stated the cars had no mods. Apparently he was lying.

JB Vobra's time of 13.33 with just Nittos and a K&N is pretty good though. I seriously doubt you will find any Bullitt out there that doesn't at least have a K&N. You sure won't find one that wants to race and is completely stock.
Sorry for the screw up. I will triple check my facts next time.

How funny, one guy actually said how cheap the Z interior was.
"..Feels quik too. But when you get inside it feels like a Cheap Yugo. Very disappointing...."
This coming from a Mustang owner....When were Mustangs known for great interior quality?

I had a 1990 300ZX when I was in college. The interior in it was far superior to any American car I have ever seen.

I agree with you there. The interior of my car is really crappy. There are all kinds of rattles, and the plastic looks cheap.

Sure, a 350Z has a nicer interior and comparable performance to a Mustang, but it costs between 20% and 50% more. That extra money is paying for higher quality, nicer parts.
If anyone doubts my math:
$25k Mustang GT vs $30k 350Z = 20% more
$22k Mustang GT vs $33k 350Z = 50% more
I am sure you wouldn't have any trouble finding people that paid as much or more than $33k for their 350Z, and there are plenty of people that paid $22k or less for a Mustang GT.

I don't doubt it at all. The Z is a $26,000 car.
I really think the Z is an extremely nice car. I haven't seen the interior of a new one, and I didn't say it wasn't nice. I just agreed with the comment that a Mustang's interior isn't that great.

Has anyone on this forum actually bought a new Z for $26k? I was under the impression you couldn't find one for under $30k.
Also, under that logic the base price of a mustang is only $17,640. That explains its interior since the base V-6 has the same interior as the $35k Cobra other than some trim items.

Uh ....
Base Z versus Base Mustang? hahhahaa... that's funny.
Com'on now... all in all... Z is a better car then a Mustang.
I love Mustangs but it's just older platform, older technology, and unfortunately, not great quality.

Either way I feel great then! I had the exact same experience a few weeks ago that Sakred did here recently. Raced a Bullitt Mustang and beat him by a couple car lengths. (that's when I changed my saying above my avatar...)
If what you're saying above is true, then my stock 350Z beat a modified Bullitt since I "won't find that wants to race and is completely stock"
On the otherhand, if he was stock, I'm still happy that my stock Z can best a Bullitt. I know I'm no match for a Cobra Mustang and will be doing good to keep close to a MACH 1, but considering how many Mustangs are built each year and how many Mustang Cobra and MACH 1s there are, chances are good that I can beat most... just gotta keep an eye out for the modified ones!
BTW, base model Zs are around $26,269 and can be easily had at that price. As someone else pointed out, it has the same drivetrain as a Track (no traction control though, but everyone cuts that off to race anyways). A Mustang GT base prices at $23,625... so a little bit cheaper, but not as much as indicated earlier. Though, you can probably get a used GT that's a year or two old for a LOT cheaper and have close to the same performance as a new GT.
You sure won't find one (Bullitt) that wants to race and is completely stock.

I got mine with 23K new.
Still, i think MSRP is the most valid comparison. People are paying below sticker to several thousand above sticker for 350Zs.
Mustang GTs can probably be bought under sticker all day long. Bullitt GTs at or slightly below sticker (like the Z); and Cobras at or above sticker. The only real way to compare is the factory price.
