Hey LBC TRD

Sorry to have disrespected your wonderful site with my Mustang banter. Apparently, a LOT of your fellow Z owners care about this thread- judging from the response. At any rate, I enjoyed the discussion!

Enjoy your Peugeot...er....I mean Nissan!

After reading this thread, I'm gonna go down to my local Nissan Dealer and see what kind of deal I can get on one of these- i really do like the car!

bro, i didnt say anything about disrespecting the site, i can really care less. just after reading the thread, all 7 pages of it.. things were/are getting rediculous...

and forget the 350z.. im trading it on for a bullitt.. after reading this thread i realized that i paid way to much for such a piece and i'd be better off with a green bullitt jk..

i dont not like mustangs and i havent bashed them in any posts the guy with the blown bullitt has a nice car and i wouldnt want to run into him on the street, a guy from my work has a 02 saleen supercharged and its rediculous.. so i do like mustangs.. just not as much as my 350!

Talking No...You da man!

I love your color Car, dude, that blue just kills me! My Bullitt is one of the 723 True Blue Bullitts built. If I do get a 350Z, it's definately be Daytona Blue!

Sakred,

You said I should stop talking ****.... but LBC TRD is correct, the only way to settle this type of dispute is to take it to the track, so who is the one really talking ****? How do we know you didnt dream that you beat that Bullitt? Would not posting on a forum about a kill be "talking ****" since you dont have a video to document the win and prove it? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but Sakred, if you read my original post back on page 3 I believe, I stated that I respect and actually like the 350Z and have not and will not slam the car because it rocks!

I welcome anybody to come over to the Bullitt site, we have a forum set up for Nadda Bullitt for other car enthusiast who want to talk about their cars. Bye the way, I could post about anything on this site, from bubble gum wrappers to 2 dollar 42nd street prostitutes... You dont like what I write, dont read it! Who are you to say what can and cannot be posted on this site? What are you God.... bye the way, I think God would drive a Mustang if he had the option... a Saleen S351!!!

Now, to reiterate, anybody wanting to settle this dispute living in the NY area, I will be more than happy to run um at the track. I could win, or I could lose, but I would love to know for sure.
Peace and take care

LOL, I just finish reading the last two threads about 350Z vs Mustangs. If you Z boys think the Ford guys are bad God forbid somebody posting a story about a 350Z beating a LS1 f-body. Those LS1. com boys would rise the roof on this ****.

really what is about the bullit that makes you guys think its faster then a Z. is it the fact that it weighs the same ? or could it be its inferior power? maybe its the notchy 5 speed shifter we all love with a Z-bend in it ? i mean come on the car has nothing going for it against a Z. and this comes to you still as a shock. even after i show you guys my car put down 264rwhp thats 1 less hp then the bullitt has at the crank. i mean i can understand a done up bullit, one with a smaller final gear ratio every breathing mod possible beating a Z but definately not a stock one. anyways i didnt want it to come down to bashing eachothers cars but i guess here we are.

Default Simple as that

Drivers being equal.

Bullitt get the launch due to higher TQ.
350Z pull topend due to higher HP.

Sad to say, but some of the more delusional owners would be here just like you say. Me, I wouldn't doubt it. There are plenty of one-legged, one armed men driving M6 LS1 f-bodies that a 350Z might get lucky

In reality, driver has everything to do with results on the street. I've got a buddy that's about the buy a Z06 and he can't drive manual to save his life (you can smell the clutch after he gets done with a car). I know I'll humble him the first time he wants to race from a light, but that doesn't mean I'll beat any Z06 that comes along. On the other side of the coin, if Evan Smith was next to me in a 350Z I'm pretty sure I'd get my **** handed to me.

Even if Evan Smith driving the 350Z he wont beat a LS1 that runs low 13's at 107(Stock M6 LS1).

. For the most part bone stock Z28's ain't gonna pull 13'.30's and 107 trap speeds stock, and for sure a 2000 and older will not runs those #'s. When i went out to the track, when there was a ls1 club out with 50+ cars...most cars that were runin low 13's had atleast a couple mods. Even the SS's and Ws6 models.I used to be on LS1.com. alot when i had my 01 SS that ran a 12.8 @112, and made 354 RWHP...so i've seen what most guys actually run.
Maybe unless the track goes down hill and u have a tail wind of 30 knots

Well i did pull a 13.3-13.4 at 106-107 all day long with only 400miles on my LS1 when it was stock. I added a Catback and a LID and ran 13.0 at 109-110 all day long in the summer. All these runs were made on the stock 245 rsa's.

I still think the dyno you used was off (even dynos need to be calabrated every once in a while). 264 RWHP is way high for a Stock 350Z. I don't buy that how is your car 25 more RWHP the every other 350Z???

I love how you quote inflated RWHP number for your car but then use the underrated factory number 265HP for the Bullitt.

Most Bullitts are Dynoing 235 - 240 RWHP. Do that math that is about 280 HP.

I forgot the name of the dyno he used but it's the kind that attaches to the rear axle lugnuts. You have to jack the car up and take the rear wheel off to hook up the dyno. Those dynos usually dyno higher because of less frictional loss as compared to a dynojet.

it was a chasi dyno. it eliminates alignment issuse in the tires, and power loss due to friction. also the way it mesured power was that the cars gear ratios needed to be put in so it used them to factor whp numbers. it does dyno a lil higher then a mustang dyno by about 6-8 hp. so even still il give you my lower numbers which are still higher then a bullitts 254rwhp . if any of you bothered to read the thread with my numbers in it all of this was discussed and the owner of the dyno also gave his input.
