Hello all..........
Just returned form Daytona.....
Testing was very succesful. We have concentrated on handling and braking on our Z. The only engine modification we have at the moment is an INJEN CAI.
For all interested in just lap times..........Patience!
All in time.
We will be hard at work for the next month before returning to Daytona for the first race.
I think we will do alot better than 5th, but leaving the fiirst race with points in a championshipo is important.

Good to hear Dwnshift. You have some stiff competition but it sounds like the car still has lots of untapped potential. I was able to follow some of the sessions live on the web via Grand Am T & S. Pretty cool. Sounds like the car ran reliably and was a hit with the fans too. Check your PM.

What kind of engine modifications are being used by your competition?

As a new car coming into the series, they do not want to give us a ton of stuff and then have to take it away.
It is political game that we have to play and its all part of racing.
On our side also ...you dont wanna play your hand to early....
As far as modifications we are allowed at the moment is CAI, engine management ( after market ECU or MOTEC system) and exhaust.
At the test we ran a stock ECUTo give an idea of what we are up against.............
Audi S4 250 hp stock
allowed.... ECU , Ko4 motorsport turbo's, full turbo back exhaust.......
chip alone takes it to 320 hp and 350 tq, throw on bigger turbos and full exhaust they are well over 400 hp.
The SVT Mustangs have a page of modifications.

Stock ECU. Makes the times even more impressive. Car must handle and brake well.

Dwnshft: Do you plan to run the whole Rolex series?

Should I start planning trips to Watkins Glen, Mid Ohio, or VIR to watch?

And if I do show up, can I get into your pits and sponsors' chalets?

But seriously, I should have asked before: do you have any hot photos that I can use in the 350Z calendar I'm putting together? Action shots on the track would be great! Send me a PM or e-mail me at 350Zcalendar@cinergetics.com.

Good luck!
