Well I'm sorry I seem to be J-body centric lately but I thought this might stir up conversation. Last night I was with my buddy in the turbo cav and a 350 pulls up beside us and wants to race. We raced up to about 110 and absolutly throttled the poor Z. He should have known not to screw with a cav with racing stripes.

 

Nice kill but uh..shouldn't this be on the Cavalier with Racing Stripes board's kill section?

 

I wasn't aware this was a one sided propoganda laden board designed only so that Z owners can think they have the fastest cars on the planet. I just thought it was funny. And believe me, it is on the cavalier with racing stripes board as well.

 

Lets put a Turbo on the Z and see what happens

I just figured this section was created for people with Z's to talk about their racing experiences...not people with Cavaliers. Sorry if I offended you

 

I own a Z06 so I'm not that offended. And a Z did have a racing experience and it lost. I'm just trying to balance out the universe.

A Chevy Cavalier? I had to check it out. GM lists the sports sedan at 140 hp. Assuming the turbo puts out 150+ horses, there may be a contest. But, what we're talking about is a mod vs. stock. So, who cares?

Hehe, still, it would be embarrasing for the Z owner who just got wasted by a Chevy POS.

Based on my ignorence and the people with 350's around me I would venture a guess that you are about a 45 year old white guy who feels he owns the greatest sportscar ever built. You talk your car up wherever you go and snicker when you hear anyone saying their car is good because you know that yours is better. You frequently state that cars such as the Mustang Cobra are "fast" but not "as fast" as your 350 is on the track. Your first standard is the 350 and you still can't drive it correctly.

Now if this is a fair appraisal of all 350 owners then go ahead and stereotype the corvette as a redneck car. Feel free to call the mustang a white trash ferarri.

Despite anything that has previously been said between the two of you it seems as though your looking to pick a fight. My thinking is that you came on this site to bash z drivers. Now I know that the z is not a super fast car. I'm calling you out, post a picture of your buddies turbo cav (engine open ricer) with your z06 next to it, then come back and talk ****.

And voila - Now you've gone out with your bud and raced a 350. It's not that I don't trust you or anything, it's just that it seems unlikely that you would be able to go race a 350 in the exact race you wished for in a thread on the very same day.

Anyway, since Z's are putting down 230-240 HP and your bud's car putting down 270 HP, I don't think there's really much of a race.

Oh yeah, and if you do win the lottery, can you send me some money since it was my idea?

The Z06 is parked for winter but here is the cav.

 

LOL, yeah what amazing luck!! I'm sure this guy really does have a 'Vette though. It's just that it's a Chevette. (Although I am sure it's turbo with 20lbs of boost and can smoke a 350Z!) ******* loser!
