Sweetness. This is definately going to be a good year in T2. Should be very interesting to see how TC does against Oates.

Just got back from Road Atlanta after watching the T2 Z run Sunday afternoon. I'd like to thank TC & Hal for being very gracious host to me & my son. Hal ran the car for the first time this weekend. He said he had never driven an easier to drive car than the Z. He qual. 3rd & finished 3rd in T2 behind to Camaros and ahead of one Supra. He & TC are very high on the cars potential. They plan some testing with the new Konis (run for the first time this weekend). TC thinks the bounce problem is in the stock shocks being too stiff. T2 requires them to run the stock springs. TC's Z is running 17" SSR's and the car is a Track model. Looks like TC will eventually be running two Z's in T2 by the Runoffs. They will run next at Button Willow in I believe April.

Thanks for the update Mark. Did you ask TC how he did at Firebird? Also, how far behind the Camaros did Hal finish?

TC won (no other T2 cars). I guess Hal was about 10 sec. behind the two Camaros. He was running equal times at first then the car went off a little. Still some tuning to do on the new Konis. He said the brakes are awesome. For the first time driving the car I think Hal did OK. TC plans to put a NISMO exhaust on the car soon. Maybe save some weight and add he few HP. The track favored the V8's with the long back stretch. Really all they have done to the car is add Konis and take out the radio, speakers, spare tire, & AC compressor. They are still trying to figure out how to get some chamber into the front end.......

Here are some times from RA.

Croyle, Z-28, 16th OA, 1.41.890 best, 1.41.728 qual.
Wilson, Z-28, 17th OA, 1.42.071 best, 1.42.356 qual.
Brown, 350Z, 20th OA, 1.42.919 best, 1.43.055 qual.
Peele, Supra, 27th OA, 1.45.037 best, 1.46.463 qual.

I think Hal did well for the first time in the car. I gotta believe TC would have been even quicker......

If T.C. Kline is running R compound on the 17 inch SSR Comp's, does anyone know what brand and tire size he is using? I'm also buying the 17 inch SSR Comp H and am having difficulty finding the R compound to maintain the original wheel diameter.
Thanks.
