Tip-Tronic auto shift?

In tip tronic.. if you punch it pedal to the metal... will it shift at a certain point?.... or just remain in same gear.

When your in manual mode you have to up shift. But down shifts auto when coming to a stop. So you pretty much could hold the gears. I love the feature. I know its not fast as a MT but has come a long way for Autos.
