The front tires slid across the inside curb and the left front dug into the grass a little bit and kicked up a big old clod onto the track.
The thing that made me mad about it was I was first out on the track so I would have had free reign for most of the session without any traffic to deal with.
Then I overheated the pads chasing down a silver 350 track model
The PCA event I'm going to in May can be found at http://www.morpca.org/events/event_mohdriversed.htm
After I recouperated this week a little I'm ready to go back
Nate: It was definitely nice meeting you, and it was fun trying to chase you around the track on several occasions, but I simply couldn't keep up, especially with those A032Rs you have.
I won't be able to make an event for a little while to due my financial situation and the fact that this is the busy season for my 2nd job, but I'll definitely try and make Mid-Ohio again this year. It was simply TOO much fun!
BJ: It's amazing how much faster your car can go around the track than the 350Z in stock trim. Keep up the good driving.

hey where's that pic you promised
also, let me know when you're thinking about going back... I'm thinking of trying to go back in September or so when it starts to cool down a little. It'd be cool to be there at the same time again if you got some track tires

Hi guys,
Yeah, I've been ignoring work so long that I really can't spend the time now to write a long piece about the weekend or post all the pix I'd like to show.
But here are a couple to keep you happy until the middle of next week, when I should have more time.
This is SunsetZ.

ellisnc: Here you go.
You're lucky hedonist mentioned I should grab some shots of the WRX, because I don't think you and I met during the weekend. I got a couple of you, and if you PM or e-mail me your postal address, I'll send you a CD-ROM with all of the weekend's shots sometime next week.
Brackethead: actually the three above are among the best of the weekend, so don't get your hopes up too high. The dismal light, the fast cars, which fooled the autofocus, and the fact I could have used a slightly shorter shutter speed mean that many of the pix are a little fuzzier than I'd like. But there are some good ones.

The GT-S pads have a really high initial bite, and have a linear grip compound, but I think I was simply running them too hard. I little better road racing compound wouldn't suit my driving style / ability at the moment. For the street, the squealing will drive you up the wall, but for my experience at Mid-Ohio, they served me well. I do know that everyone could tell that I was definitely running them hard by the smell drifting throughout the track.

BTW,
Hugo and UnderPressure: what happened? We were waiting for you to show up. Didn't you want to brave the freezing temps and cloudy skies?
