I should arrive mid-afternoon on Friday to drive Saturday and Sunday. I should be successfuly in grinding down my front tires past the tread bars the weekend.

I'm arriving Thursday and will run in Group 2/3 all three days. I don't know if I need the sway bars, but I'll be happy to talk to you about them.

Staying at the Ramada. See you next week.

Isn't Daylight Savings Time that weekend? Ugh, it's the dreaded Sunday where you lose an hour of sleep (and have to drive 8 hours to get home as well)...

And the drivers' meeting is at 7:40 each morning, which is a lot earlier than I usually get out of bed (ah, the joys of being self-employed).

However, I suspect that, for this 47-year-old at least, after a day of 30-minute driving sessions, getting to bed earlier than usual won't be much of a problem. The rest of you kids can party all night if you want.

You're not going to indulge in any keg stands for us?

Event schedule is up at http://www.racenasa.com/pdf/event_schedule_midohio.pdf

Default Keg stand?

I'm such an old fogey, I don't even know what a keg stand is! I don't think we had them when I went to college, back before the turn of the century.

Got some more info from Lawrence.

There will be "adult beverages" available in the registration area (garage 7) after Friday and Saturday. I am sure it will be no problem to find some folks to go out with that night, but no award banquet at the bar.
So, guess I'll meet you at Garage #7 Commasense? BTW, I'll also be staying at the Ramada. BJ, SunsetZ, where you staying?

Looks like funds won't be available for me to drive, planning on VIR in April, but I'll make the trip up to observe the festivities. The drive up will give me a chance to break the new transmission in. It's going to be installed next wednesday.

If I manage to sell a kidney this week, I'll sign up to drive.

Underpressure: Look forward to seeing you there. We should have a pretty decently sized 350Z collective present for that weekend. Perhaps SunsetZ and commasense should rope off a little extra space in the paddock on Friday morning so we can all park in the same area.

Interesting idea. I'll see if that's possible within the bounds of practicality and track etiquette. The paddock area at Mid Ohio's pretty big, so it shouldn't be a problem.

How much do you want for a kidney? (I'm always willing to help out a fellow Z owner!)

I wouldn't imagine it'd be a problem. Just move a trash can or two to take up some space.

What exactly are you bringing with you? I'm definitely bringing my floorjack, and possibly a few tools. I'd bring some lawn chairs, but the ones I have access too won't fit in the Z.

My small toolbox, floorjack, torque wrench, spare brake pads (I've ordered some Ferodo DS2500s that should be here in a couple of days), extra brake fluid (ATE Super Blue), flashlight, tarp, camera, etc. Maybe my laptop, which is loaded with the 350Z service manual.

I have a couple of those canvas chairs that fold up into a small cylindrical bag. I'll bring both.

It occurred to me last time I was at Summit Point that bringing my scanner so I could listen to the track marshal's frequency might be interesting.

Don't forget a water bottle, sun screen, hat, raincoat, that kind of basic stuff.

I can't think of much else essential.

Does anyone know what the food situation is at Mid Ohio for these events? Will there be a source for lunch on-site, or do we have to bring something or go into town? I've only been there for races and the Skip Barber school. SB provided a box lunch, and of course the concession stands were open for the races.

Default Oh yeah!

Cleaning stuff: tire spray, towels, etc., to wipe brake dust off wheels, and keep the car looking reasonably good.

Last I heard, $5million on ebay before the auction got pulled. I'll settle for half that right now.

There might be a slim chance of me actually driving. I've got someone who's interested in another one of my projects.
Just have to see how the fates deal things out.

Sorry, I can't go a penny over a million.

But seriously folks, if you want I'll take you for a ride in a later session on Saturday or Sunday, after I've gotten a good feel for the track.
