I have a 350Z 5AT. I see this blue Vette ZO6 stopped at a light. I knew this was a Z06(badging on the side). I was on manual mode. The light turns green. We have a even start. Both have slight spin. 1st gear even 2nd gear I pull slightly. He Z06 skids on 2nd starts to pull. Even to about 65. Then he suddenly backs off. I was like WTF!!! That Z06 shouldve killed me even with a bad driver! I'm not making this up. This is what happened today.

 

Come on people any comments? That Z06 driver mustve felt really low Perhaps he was too cocky?

These cars are in completely different class all together, not even worth commenting on a race like this...period.

Well, while you were pulling on the Z06 I was sending a black 350Z home with his tail between his legs. I'm into double-digit 350Z kills now, so how come I never come across any of you "vette killers?"

 

I guess you know how to drive a manual really well. but most manual drivers cant drive for sh*t! Even though a bad driver in a Z06 still shouldve killed me!

 

Maybe the Z06 driver was in a COMA!

I think he was toying with you. The ZO6 will beat a Z by 14 car lengths in a 1/4 mile. I always do this when I know I have the faster car. It is more fun to stay one fender ahead of a guy the whole race than to just blow him away. I would always do this on my bike, too. Vettes and such would want to race and I would pull them on a wheelie from a stop and then on the highway I would stay just ahead and look back and motion to him, "come one. what's wrong?" I would shrug and act like I had no idea what was going on. guys, keep in mind I know this sounds bad, but this was back in college days at 2am in San Antonio which means NO cars. In SATX people sleep at night. Everyone does except the young hooligans. Those days are long gone and I am glad I am still alive considering.

You are still because for some reason you actually believe it was a race. Even if it was the worst driver in the world starting off in 3rd gear...he still would have put bus lengths on you....

From a start if he spun the tires, you would take off on him, but if he had traction, and he was actually racing, he would have lapped you friend. Those z06s are pretty tough to beat, even for LS1 cars that are near stock. Anythings possible, maybe he got excited and threw it into 4th by accident. Maybe you got the jump on him, and he just gave up, maybe he was in the middle of some intimate relations from the passenger you couldnt see, anything is possible.

Z06 guy had the windows down no passenger. Young guy was getting too cocky! When the light turned green, I heard his tires skid, and the exhaust sound is loud as a MTF! I knew he wanted to kick my ***. But it was tie to around 65. I'm not making this sh*t up!!

 

A Z06 would put multiple buslengths on a 350Z. The Z06 driver was playing with you........

 

Those are some high HP numbers for a stock Mach1....

Well.. maybe the vette dude had his traction control on or something... I had a race vs. a 2002 M5 a few months ago.. and we were neck and neck... and he was gunning it because I heard his car roaring not to mention noticiing the motion of his car during his shifts... and somehow we were neck and neck, even though he should have owned me... I'm almost convinced that he had his traction control on...

 

Then why did he even try to race? I had run ins with regular LS1 Vettes but didnt even try to race.

 

I'm still waiting for the day to race any Z...

As for your "race" he was playing with you...

 

Hey man, I'm not doubting you.. I'm trying to support you. I'm just saying that perhaps he raced you with his TC on, and thats why the race was so close, where otherwise you should have been annihalated... Maybe he forgot, or was sure he'd beat you anyway.. who knows?

 

Whats the point when you're running 12's?
