14.258 @ 100.01 mph. Prelude to NOS and GHL exhaust!
Want to thank the my350z members who stopped by to chat on my down time at englishtown. The wait to hear your bracket called is the hardest part.
For those of you who own a Z and have never tracked, I highly recommend it. Very low risk + LOTS of fun. And don't be afraid of losing...just accept you are going to lose to a unexpecting car like me, and you should have a great time.
This is the 1st time I have ever tracked any car in my life. Most have been unwarranted and unsafe street runs. After this expereince on the track, I doubt i will ever run my car on the streets again. Eventhough i got smoked bad by a late model civic! it was fun....
My Z has no perf mods other than the upgraded Toyo T1S on 19s. And I am not the type of person who strips everything in the car before racing. I had all my garbage in the car as well as spare tire. My thought on this is why not run the car the same way I drive the car in the street. All my timeslips are on the right side.
1st run: this was my 1st run ever. Ran a 14.383 @ 99.11 mph.
On my left was a very well equipped civic. Most of you folks here may have called it "rice" but it was a fast one at that. Much respect to that driver. He ran 12.571 @ 114.33mph!!!
2nd run: I had a better reaction time and was heavier on the gas, and ran 14.258 @ 100.01mph. My best run of the day and it got me to the next round.
3rd run: Was tired and ready to go home. but the rush of the grand stand made me line up. I ran my worst 14.666 @ 98.69 mph. Even though i beat my opponent to the finish and in time, my slip said I lost so i wrapped it up an headed home.
Now I install the single fogger wet NOS kit and GHL exhaust and do it all over again.

Hey, nice going. The 100+ mph run is right for a stock Z. I know you will do really nice with your new experience and the new mods.
BTW, how much NOS you plan to run and which system?

So many factors that I wouldn't worry about it. I mean the wind hitting your car, or the temp that day can all cause it to be 1 mph slower or faster. Your 99mph is pretty good regardless. Maybe the wind was pushing me a bit

Nice car, the graphics look good although I prefer a sleeper look.
BTW, what front bumper is that? I like the twin front openings, great for a induction setup for a TT.

Sweet Run MATT
nice time slips Matt..
Glad you got the first run under your belt..
The car looks great too, is that a Red 300 ZX TT in front of you?
Hope you shot some more footage for DVD 3...

Car is looking great and glad to see the 19"s aren't slowing down. I think I met you at Hot Import Nights Philly if that was you I talked to about the body kit and not someone displaying the car.

Nice times! I was also there at the meet and watched your last two runs. I was the one with the silverstone NISMO Z. Let me know the next time you're running again. i'm going to be going down to Englishtown soon again.
