If its true, thats an impressive story. Its kinda hard to believe you though. I have raced a lightly modded Bullit and I was neck and neck with him. I have also raced a 350Z and just edged him out by a few lengths. Im not saying it cant happen but still.

Yea, as of now, I lose to everyone. My transmission is shot. When I raced the Bullit, it was before my headers. A race between us would be close if my tranny wasnt **** but as of now, you have me. See ya.

That triax makes shifting a little easier though. A buddy of mine has one on his GT and it is a tight shifter. You dont miss gears with it. I didnt anyways. Just dont blow the launch and your golden.

Thats nice. I have been hanging out with some stangers here lately so I have seen a couple of those. That is definatly a nice setup. You would walk me fairly easily with that, as long as I havent gotten something else(umm, maybe a modded LS1 ). Maybe even then too. Later.

actually, that was pretty meaningless post, we all know how the cars compare, it is OBVIOUS that there was driver error, big deal.

are you sure it wasn't a Mach 1??? (a much different beast than the Bullit, even though the Bullit looks 10X better)

btw, you mention that Ford uses a much more conservative way of measuring HP now, I think what you meant to say is that they are giving HONEST figures now, much like most every other car company has for any years now (except for the miata a few years back, any coincidence that Mazda and Ford are in bed together?? )

And of course, any race can come down to a driver. Look even a 350z has beeten a ZO6. lol. But seriously, with equal drivers, they are pretty dang close. But just wait untill after my mods. Run whatcha brung...

I don't understand how people say the Bullit has an advantage. Every magazine time I read shows the Z with faster times, I know we don't like to go simply by mags times, BUT it seems like the default winner (since you were sort of guessing at the race results you would expect) would be the Z, not the Bullit, but I guess it depends on what you one is how you view reality (this goes BOTH ways).

...well, I'll just throw in my 0.02 from my experience. At our track there is a really cool guy with a Vortech SC'd Bullit. Before the SC, the best time he told me he was able to pull was a 14.9s (In case you didn't read my sig, the track is at ~5400 feet). I know there's always the driver factor, but this guy has experience running at tracks. My best time so far is a 14.79s. I can run 14.9s all day with not perfect launches. I know there's all kinds of factors so take this comparison for whatever you like. Just sharing my experience on the topic. I have a lot of respect for V8 Mustangs, but I have noticed that a lot of owners just automatically assume that they are the fastest things on the road (especially with just a GT). However, I know there are a lot of 350Z owners like that as well

i beat a white GT with one of those big nasty dual deck rear wings pretty badly...But that was with a 99 Dakota R/T with lots of mods...(360 and 5.9l) in case anybody didnt know the engine on it, but i havent rced a bullitt, or from what i can remember, i havent even seen one of those before. My friend has one of the Millen (???) edition mustangs w/ the side exhaust...sounds very nice, but i havent sen him since i got my Dakota though...
