Excuses: I have only launched this car 3 times on the street before bringing it to the track, with better luck on the street than the track for sure. I was having MAJOR wheel hop issues with this track edition, and there was a touring there and he wasnt having problems with it. I wonder if the tracks tighter suspension and 18" wheels is causing this.
The best run I got I just slip the cluth mild around 2500 and floored it with very little wheel spin, at the top of first I started to get wheel hop again, let off the gas to about half way and it stopped, then floored it again and held it through the last 1000RPM of 1st with no hop.
14.2@99 with a 2.2 60'. The car easily has a 13.9 in it if you ask me. The 60s are horrible, or at least compared to what im used to... my mr2 was doing 2.0 60s almost stock. thats a mid engine car tho, so i dunno... I am gonna put some crap on this car and take it back in a few weeks.
We are building a turbo system for this Z, and this was somewhat the baseline test run for before/after comparison. I have no good reason but I still havent put the car on our dyno yet.
I may also try a different local track and see if the wheel hop issue is resolved. It was very violent wheel hop.
Oh also. this car at the moment is COMPLETELY stock, never touched ANYTHING.

The Z has 3100 miles on it. I am not sure the elevation, but I am just outside Chicago. Temp? I dunno maybe 60 degrees. I was not letting the car cool down between runs, just getting back in line. Honestly I dont think the car is gonna cool down in 20 min anyway, I leave this car for hours and come back and the engine is still warm. That was my reasoning between letting it idle while back in line to run again.

After more of a break-in and dropping the tire pressure to 20-25 i'm sure you'll see better than 13.9
