Default 350z vs. 03 lightning

Well I got my intake on last night, and it feels a little faster, but mostly just sounds different. Anyways on to the race. I'm cruising down 2818 going home and I get next to a navy blue 02 lightning, of course he revs and I follow suit. 2nd gear roll....he starts to pull a little probably his door at my front bumper. I go into third and reel him back in and put about a car on him by the end of third. Shut it down after that and the guy gives me the thumbs up. Does anyone have any idea of what these things run??? I'm curious because I thought for a second I was going to get walked by a ford truck.

Cliffnotes...he pulled to my front, i pulled back in third and put a car by the end of third. I probably would have pulled harder if we would have kept going.

I think they run stock in the 13.7 1/4, 5.2 or so 0-60. Should beat us slightly stock, but they are easy to boost on up with SC pulley swaps, etc.

2 valve SOHC 5.4 liter V8 with a Eaton Roots type supercharger. 385 hp 450 lbs tq. Usually they run mid to high 13s, but Ive seen some stock passes in the low 13s. They really suck from a roll, just imagine a really pwerfull brick, but out of the hole they will rape and pillage bad. I always get beat in the first 1/8 when I race them in my Z28, but I usually come back and pass in the last 1/8. Full 1/4 pass and you are going to be looking at a loss, since they usually trap about the same as 350Zs sometimes a tad bit lower, but thier ET are usually faster. Just get them to go from a 45sh roll, you have a very good chance of defeating them there.

Be aware of the modded Lightnings.....a friend has run a 12.2 @109 and can consistently click off 12.3s all night long....
those trucks are flat out sick with a little more boost...

They move pretty well for 4600+ lbs.

Stock 01 and up trucks run anywhere from a 13.2-13.9(380hp). 99-00's run anywhere from13.3 -14.0's (360hp) My friend has a 350z it is chrome silver. From a stop it is not even a fair race 4-5 car lenths and still pulling. That was before i put a chip and 4lb supercharger pulley. Now i pull him 6-8 car lenths depending on how good i hook (500lbs of torque is hard to hook up in a truck) These trucks are really good from a stop but from a roll they are just a big refrigerator with lots of power.
