I am at work right now I just had a cust tell me that his friend has a hatch back gsr ,it is stock no mods at all........He said that his friend wooped a 350z in the quarter mile.....He also said that he has raced 4 of them so far, 2 were auto 2 were stick. I told him there is no way in hell that happened. He said he saw 2 of the races himself...Is this possible?

sure it's possible. I beat a C5 vette at the strip when I went, along with a Mach1 Mustang, both should easily turn mid 13s. It's just like in autocross, just because you have a fast car doesn't mean jack. You have to be able to drive it......

Can someone really be that bad of a driver with an automatic and still get wooped by a stock gsr...What is the horse power on these things around 150. If anything an automatic would help a poor stick driver..All you have to do is stomp on the gas

I ran a G35, left him completely at the line. He didn't turn off his VDC and somehow it killed the motor when he tried to take off.

At autocrosses in my video I can see myself clicking the TDC light over and over again on the way to the line, making sure to remember to turn it off, so I don't get a nice suprise when I go to take off.

Stock GSRs I think run a bit higher... 160-170. I raced my friend's supercharged GSR pushing about 250-60 to the wheels and we were pretty much even.

If the driver had VDC on, it can severely retard your acceleration off the line.

F***ing ricer ********. The only way to put the moron in his place is to race him yourself (provided you have a Z)

A stock GSR is a mid 15 second car. They are 170hp and weigh ~2750lbs. It should be no match for a 350z. Unless the guy isn't listing mods there is not way he could pull evan a poorly driven Z. I've seen lots of ricers fly by my 350z or pace me then take off, who knows maybe in their mind they just beat my 350.
