On the other hand, if the 350Z has some decent mods, and is making some good power (up near 300 to the wheels), the amount of naysayers will drop since the numbers actually add up to a fair race that can go either way.
Any race between two cars running nearly a full second different on average stock vs. stock where the slower car wins will always draw BS flags, because in a fair race it just doesn't happen.
After all, how many people would believe a stock M6 F-body could beat a MKIV BPU Supra 6-speed from a 50 roll? Not many. Those two cars should run about a full second apart in the 1/4 mile (low-mid 12's versus low-mid 13's) if the drivers are equal.
BTW: I've been beaten a couple of times (Supercharged 5.0 and a sleeper 80's Monte Carlo).

The -7- CAN'T Lose!!!! You knew I would troll over to this thread sooner or later, LOL.
Lets seperate the fact from fiction:
Fact: The 350Z looks better
Fact: The 350Z has better fit/finish
Fact: The 350Z has much nicer interior
Fact: The 350Z handles better
Fact: a 98+ Fbody will rape it with equal drivers.
350Z all the way baby!!!! and yea..."The -7- CAN'T Lose!!!"
Oh yea, since when to stock Fbodies run low mid 12's. You guys are Great, every day that # gets better. I guess since SCC got a 12.7 and 12.7 on the STI, reality is setting in. How you been?

The mid-low 12's was referring to the BPU Supra, not the stock LS1 (that was the mid-low 13's I referenced). We're all pretty much in agreement that a BPU Supra would OWN a stock LS1 right???

Please find me a 300zx/rx7/supra with just exhaust that will run a 13.0. I ran a 13.0 with just a loudmouth .... in an auto.
You are an idiot on all boards...do you ever get a clue?

BTW: I dynoed my rx7 with a downpipe, catback and highflow cat and dynoed at 265 to the wheels. I then took off the highflow cat and replaced with a midpipe and dynoed at 300. Then after some tuning it dynoed at 315.8.
Thanks.

You can run 10's and your car is still an ugly pos.
BTW...A cold air intake adds alot of power to your car (as well as mine) so dont pretend that its anywhere near stock. You will pull 4-5/10ths faster with a ram air lid.

Well I'm not going to get into this whole LS1 vs. VQ35 issue but I'll tell you right now. He will beat you, and he'll prob beat you by a landslide. 3 of my buddies have LS1s and I always tell them here in CA. "You may have more pick up on the track, but on Sunset strip I'll get more pick up then you"

I gained 5 MPH from ramming air into my cold air box. This from dozens of test runs at the track.
I know the WS6 are a bit faster than the SS, I would guess even though it has 200 lbs of plastic attached to the door panels, the ram air makes a big difference.
later.

Dude...just stop making all the other RX-7 owners look bad. Go back to reading this month's issue of Import Tuner.
P.S. When I get my injectors and downpipe, you want to run?

I'll race you in Cali. I'm probably going to go out there in 2 weeks anyway. I'll be willing to run you.

haha I wish it was that easy....5mph is a TON! People with some cars get that much out of a cam swap...
btw - that bs about ws6's and ss's being faster than trans am's and z28's and whatnot is BS. they are all equal for the most part
you need to get a clue
