Default White ford lighting riding my *** up to 120 I blew him @ 135

SO why the hell do people do this. I am riding on the interstate driving a little aggressively and this white lighting comes up on my *** about 2ft away from my rear bumper. I was going about 90 and I was in the ****ing slow lane. So why the hell would someone do this?

If he wanted to run he should have simply sat next to me and gave me the "LOOK"

Anyways ........so I floored it UP to 100 ...still about 2 ft away.....110 still there....120 I start to pull away maybe 6 ft ....... 135 I got about 3 car length away. Not sure how I pulled away like I did but I did.

Kinda pissed as to why people ride ur *** when they want to run.

Has anyone had this happend to them?

Are Lightings weak at higher speeds?

Hella quick, but flatens out at speed too flat on the front end and very heavyoverall weight

Default Watch out for the Lightnings

I work with a guy who has a brand new one. We ran form a stop up an on ramp to the hwy. We were neck and neck up to 120 or so as well, then he faded hard.

They are much quicker than I thought. I think it is a supercharged 302. His has an aftermarket exhaust.

There is no way an automatic 350 would keep up with those things.

]no no no no no, supercharged 5.4 liter triton. For weighing as much as they do they're pretty much on par with 350z' from the factory, that is until the lightning adds a chip and a lower pulley.

Not really, in straight line 1/4 mile performance, the 350Z going to get beat if all things are equal. Most 00+ Lightnings run in the mid 13s, depending on the track many have done low 13s stock. Now from a highway roll on, they are at a serious disadvantage.

Lightnings are 5.4 supercharged from the factory and they do turn mid 13s stock so you better have you stuff together if you run one from a stop. tope end you should get him because they are what we refer to as a flying brick.

considering the fact that a lightning weighs 4600 lbs high 13s is not too bad. Stock for stock in the quarter, lightning will win.

That sounds about right for 380hp and 450 lb/ft torque There is a guy that works at a Ford Dealer here in orlando that has a white one, he can run 12 flat all day long. If I were to ever own a truck that would be it, unless I could get my hands on the viper truck

Yeh that would have worked

I would never jam on my brakes when a 5000 lb truck is 2 ft away. there is no way his reaction time and brakes would have kept himout of my trunk.

JamRWS6 -- I am with you. this is the first time I have driven this fast. But I really didn't know what to do. He was truly, no ******** in my *** 2 ft away.

really I am more concerned with this than I am impressed with the truck! It was actually kinda scary

What would you guys have done?

Part of me would probably just let off on the gas let the car slow down a little bit. At that point he would probably pass you. Pretty stupid of him to ride your *** in the slow land. Maybe he wanted to see if you could pull away from him?

The other part of me would of left his *** just as you did!

Take your foot off the gas.

Unless he wanted to throw away a couple of G's in repairs and insurance premiums, as well as lose countless hours of time, he'd back the **** up or pass you.

close enough, I could of sworn he told me he was running 12 flat, either way that kicks ***. I used to get my stang serviced over there. I guess you may know Jake Lamotta? He has a pretty sick TT 32v.
