Default 350Z VS Evo8

Sup guys
Just got home. So tired but pretty happy I had my exhaust on for a week and headed out to the track today.
It helped me almost .4 secs of my 1/4 time today. I'm really happy with it( Even though I don't know how much hp i gained).
Last week without exhaust I ran best 14.6 and 97 mph.

Today times:
best 1/4 : 14.29
best MPH : 99.95
Best 60' : 2.17

My car got AEM cai, Borla Exhaust, and grounding lkit. The Evo8 is bone stock.

The best part is that there was a guy with the Evo 8 came over and asked me for a run. I know that he time dial is faster than mine. I expect to loose to him but I agreed to run him.

1st run: Beat him by a car length, even though his 1/4 is faster.

Mine: 14.411(99.95 mph)
His: 14.337(92.77 mph)

2nd run: Beat him by a car length

Mine: 14.29(99.52 mph)
His : 14.28(95.53 mph)

He's pretty cool guy and new to his car, so If a better driver drive that car would have beat me bad. Over all I'm darn happy with the result today.

That sounds pretty fun.

That guy needs to learn how to shift, and learn how to launch his car though.

With a 3mph difference in trap speeds between the two runs, he either missed a gear, or is shifting short.

Plus, he probably wasn't dumping the clutch and launching as hard as he can. (new car, probalby babying it a bit).

Have you seen any more EVOs at the track running faster?? They should be mid 13 cars at least. (According to all the tests).

I think what you said is correct, but he's not trying to baby his car. He just not know how to drive that car. That's the only Evo8 i saw at the track. My friend with the STI went with me to the track and his best is like 13.6xx. He is also just got his car and need more time to learn the car. My friend is an auto-x instructor.
The temp was like in the 90 and humidity is about 90 also. Pretty hot day for track though.

Nice kills. Actually for a 95 mph run, the EVo did well running low 14's. His mph is very low though. Should've been anywhere between 99-101 like most Z's. Again, nice kills.

BTW, the EVo has already run 11's (well one guy so far, more to come). I believe it was 11.8@118. Stk turbo, stk clutch, injectors, but did use a 50shot.
