I agree it would look really nice. Having done it on previous cars and recently starting one on my Datsun, I can tell you it's ALOT of work - but the rewards can be great as it looks insanely clean. On my car, I was so eager to get it re-assembled I just didn't have the time to do it, but perhaps I'll start looking more heavily into it when the new manifold is installed...maybe start with the upper areas first and go from there.

ya, i guess i just dont understand how much work it would be, never attempting a wire tuck myself...
so do you know when you might actually get a manifold in that you dont HAVE to give to a customer so you can throw one on for yourself? this thread is really exciting, any new updates are like another sequel to a great movie!

Highway run vids will definitely be in the cards - should have done it today actually as it was nice and I had some time to take the car out and stretch her legs a bit. But, I didn't even think to bring the camera...I think I'll just leave it in the car from now on!

I'm actually EQUALLY excited to see what the cosworth manifold does for your car as what the 4.08/LSD does for my car you need to go hunt down a stillen blown Z to race

actually, my car spent the first year of its life as my 100% daily driver, seeing ever form of weather..snow, ice, rain, etc.
However since painting it this summer, it will never see non hose induced precipitation again, if I can help it

Yeah man, I agree above. I know youre not big on the quarter-mile thing, but that would quantify the work in a setting we all can appreciate and understand.
Id love to know what your numbers are.. 0-60, 1/4, all that stuff, if anything so I could understand exactly what impact your amazing work had in a real time setting. Which gives us all the more reason to ogle that beauty.

like I said, its just not important enough to me to make a special trip over 2 hours long, on a day off to find out. If there was a track closer, I would

really though, you could also race a stock Z and see how it goes, that'd give us an idea of how much faster yours than it was at start. dont have to drive but 10 minutes

You could easily extrapolate what the car should run in the 1/4 mile by the weight and horsepower. I just dont care about that sort of stuff, I wanted a well balanced machine and to do it a bit differently from what had been done before. I purposely went the NA route to learn more about the motor and what makes it tick, and because I already have a very fast forced induction car, and wanted to do something different. I haven't been drag racing in ages because it's just not what I'm into and I don't have the time to be into even if I wanted. My love is road racing...I don't even have time to do that anymore.
You guys could easily duplicate my build for yourselves - all the parts are listed, and see what it runs if drag is what you're into It's just not what I am into, so it makes no difference to me.

my cost and your cost would be 2 totally different things, since we assembled the motor here, and did all the swap work (taking my old motor out, and installing the new motor) in house. Also, machine work, for the heads and plenum just as an example, vary greatly from shop to shop, so there is no way for me to quantify this. You would be best off consulting an engine builder and asking what they would get for it with full head work, block machining, balancing, etc.
