well I guess I knew it was some sort of ITB but it wasn't the one I had gone with.

I've had the setup for awhile now, just have not been able to put it on the car just yet -some software issues we have to navigate through first. I'll post here once it's done though!

I posted it in the suspension section - had the Moonface RCA kit installed along with having the car cornerbalanced. Have not had any time to do any other mods to the car

Adam, I remember you initially started out with an underdriven crank pulley on this motor. I also remember that there were some issues after Z-Days last year. I seem to remember you initially thinking it might be the cam sensor phasers and later finding out it was a problem with the aluminum crank pulley (I think).

What ended up being the final results on that? Was the under drive pulley the cause of your grief? I seem to remember that the crankshaft keyway spun in the aluminum crank pulley? I searched all over for that old thread but couldn't find it.

I was thinking that an aluminum under drive pulley would be a cool addition to my G, then I remember the problems you had. I don't turn mine quite as high as you do, but I'm still concerned that I would have the same problem with an aluminum crank pulley.

We're not really sure what caused the issue, but the net result was the keyway portion of the pulley got partially sheered off, causing the timing chain sprocket on the crank to walk slightly, basically moving against the keyway, which resulted in a torn crank seal (oil leak), and crank vs cam timing getting out of whack as we drove the car home (made it from z Days back to right before the GWB...so pretty good!). The key itself was only slightly knicked up, but thankfully we were spared crank damage. I had a UR pulley on the motor prior to my build and used a new in box one on the engine once we completed the build. It never gave me any issues in ~50k miles of use, and then around 7500 miles on the new engine, so this could have been our install error (improperly torqued perhaps?) ...unfortunately we'll never know as it was just such a random problem. I think the whole discussion might have been in this thread actually.

Thankfully the crank was spared any major damage. Took us quite a while to figure the whole issue out, but the repair turned out to be pretty easy and it's been working flawlessly since then. As part of putting the car back together, I decided I wanted to try out one of the ATI pullies, since they are even more underdriven than the UR ones. It's been in the car since July, and working great. A nice byproduct of the ATI was my once very grabby clutch got much easier to drive, as a result of the increased mass vs the UR pulley. While it was expensive for a pulley, I think it was well worth it and I've been very happy with the purchase. So much so, that we became a dealer!

well, winter is in full affect here, so it's time to get cracking on the car again

Next up on the list of to do's:

Kirk Roll bar (still trying to figure out which padding)

4.3 final drive - this has turned out to be a total clusterf*ck, but rest assured, I WILL have it operational in my car. At this point I don't hold out much hope towards making it a kit that we'll sell, as there is quite alot involved. But, I'm into it for so much time and money at this point, I have no choice but to see it through

Long tube headers

But next up on the block - this is what is going in:

Not sure who will tune it yet - I really don't have much time nor interest in doing it myself to be honest. I used to really like doing the ecu side of things, but as I've gotten older, I've come to find it the most boring, tedious, and uninteresting part. I do enjoy the assembly of new parts but for the tuning side, I just want the final results

also going to be fitting this:

The cluster will be used in place of the OEM cluster - so if anyone wants a 2008, 9000rpm tach OEM Nissan cluster (that reads in Kph - JDM yo!) then let me know

In addition, as I've let the cat out of the bag previously, we have an ITB setup, but I'm not showing that off till it's installed, and fully operational. Hopefully it works as well as we think it will, as our approach is something no one has yet done on a roadgoing Z to my knowledge. More on that to follow (once it's done!)

not sure yet...Sasha's looks really really nice, but we are also lucky to have a ton of places locally that can do them for us as well. Just have to explore my options once the Haltech is fitted and tuned and the rear is done. Headers are the last thing I'll probably do on the car, since they are comparatively the easiest

In Adam's defense, although he is perfectly capable of defending himself, I don't ever recall him saying that either publicly or privately at the shop. He may have said he was against spending any more money on his Z SEVERAL times, but every time I pick up something new he has this desire to out do me since he's technically the Boss.
