it has dual scoops cut into it (one per side) for the factory airboxes - forward thinking, for when I get around to designing/having an airbox made. For the time being though, will just give equalized air to either half of the ITB's.

yes that is my 280 - only plastic parts on there, won't do any harm, especially considering the car is going in for new paint at some point.

Have you talked to/read about the Rebello racing engines? I read about em and it made me think of this thread.

I know of them well, yes, and they do some great work - but I have my own builder and prefer not to deal cross country with something as crucial as my engine I also don't want a race only motor. Despite all the work I've done, I still drive the car 10k miles or so a year, and I want it and expect it to be reliable, and civil during normal driving.
