You know it didn't even dawn on me to call you till late Saturday night when I remembered you lived near there. By that time it was late

Would be good to see what your car does there. I warn you mike uses 0 corrections so the # are not forum friendly but rest assured it's never run better. The newest haltech software is also sweet. I think I have decided I'm not going to post a sheet until I can either get to a dynojet or back to The Shop where my original built motor tune was done. It otherwise gets to be confusing since the #s can vary so much

If we had a dragstrip near that would be ideal since traps are what they are but none are nearby at all. One night when the weather is nicer maybe I'll have to make a midweek trip to Englishtown just for s&g

It's all good man, maybe next time.

Im not even looking for numbers..Im looking for a usable tune that actually allows me to drive the car daily. Having a tune from Mike in Buffalo with similar weather conditions it's as good as it's gonna get for a tune to drive around here. Now im just wondering if I should tune it first then do the rest of the body work or the other way around.

Got some free time last night to take the car out....I love these gears! We've got some nice twisties north of the shop, so I spent a bit of time there before taking on the expressway. With the car just sitting in 3rd gear, you never have to shift. It pulls incredibly hard from low rpm all the way to redline. The way it compliments the flat torque curve of the engine is just perfect. The most noticeable thing is that car pulls with alot more authority from a dead stop, or a low speed roll now. I didn't do any full on launches yet, but the rear just squats, bites and throws you forward. Those diff bushings definitely help! I did some mixed use, both local street and some highway cruising. At 70mph it's right around 3200 rpm. All in all this was a major investment of both time and money over the past year or so - but the gears really suit the character of the car overall, and they compliment the engine very nicely. If anyone is interested in reading about what all was done to make these gears workable, check out these links on our blog:

I'll try to get a new video done soon, hopefully in the same spot as my last one was done. Overall though, it was certainly a great improvement over my previous 3.9 setup.

We chose not to do the whole subframe bushing set just yet, though I really wanted to. Instead, it was suggested to me by the person who put the rear end together to just swap pumpkins for now, to ensure there was no unusual noises, etc. We did do the SPL 'front' rear diff bushings (the 4 halves that go in the mounting ears at the front of the pumpkin). Once I've got a month or so of use on the rear, I'll drop the rear subframe down, do the rest of the NISMO bushings that I've been sitting on for ages, and also do the Whiteline subframe bushings and the SPL solid rear diff bushing as well.

Nice, glad to hear it worked out well. It was quite the risk, but im sure all the money concern is out the window now. Id love to ride shotgun one day!

Edit: About the bushings, man I cant believe how much of a difference they make.

I think this whole project is just about finished once we get the rest of the stuff on the Racepak to fully function (will be delving back into that next week time permitting). Aside from the rest of the rear bushings, there really is nothing left for me to do
