Subscribed. Is this significantly cheaper than FI? It seems like the cost of building an engine always ends up costing about the same regardless of the setup. Almost makes you wonder if its worth it? I love N/A though. Keep us posted, bro!

I can go ahead and tell you its probably not going to be cheaper than going FI. Just think about what heads, cams and a built motor cost. But you can't beat the feeling of N/A power

Didn't know GTM made a cam that big...when I bought my cams over a year ago the Tomei's had the most lift and one of the highest durations available.

I would never personally run FI on a stock motor because I run my Z in track events with NASA and PCA. So to have a built NA motor would be alot cheaper than going FI with a built motor. To have a built NA motor with heads and cams you looking between 9 to 11 grand depending on parts used. If I was doing FI I figure the cost of the kit plus the cost of a good built motor with engine management and tune. I figure for me it would cost me around 15 grand.

If all goes well this weekend or early next week. I had forgot to replace my oil pump so I just got a new '06 oil pump in today. We are also taking are time and making sure everything is done properly to avoid any headaches like last time. I want to make sure all parts we are bolting to the short block are free from debris and the liquid gasket is done correctly. Last thing I want is some debris to clog something. I will post some videos once its running.

Motor is coming along...got pics from today. Hopefully motor will be fully assembled tomorrow and go back into the car on Monday.

My z is red...wait your going to Forged Performance? If so my car is in Texas. FP built my motor and shipped it down to a local shop that is putting the rest together and back in my car.

Tomei 272's and 280's were released at the same time. :X

I saw the posted dyno sheet of the Tomei 280's vs. 272's and I decided the 272's were better for me because they made power sooner in the power band.

Good point. Unfortunately they did not offer a dyno chart of a staggered 280/272 combo. In any case, can't wait to see what kinds of numbers that beast of an engine spits out.

I would have loved to have seen a dyno chart with the staggered Tomei. I am curious to see what kinda of numbers I make since the dyno chart showed the 272 cams @ 375 hp at the motor but with 13:1 compression. I will be running around 11:1 compression.
