My car developed a problem with the transmission. I was able to drive it but now I can't get into any gears while the car is on like the clutch isn't disengaging the engine. The clutch doesn't seem to have air and sometimes the gears do go in but then they stop working. Doesn't make sense to me unless the clutch is staying partially engaged.

Well looks like my slave unit is having problems...going to have to have that replaced. That is going to put a delay in my dyno tuning?

Hope you get it all back up and running Rednezz. I've been following your process and have been debating on going the same route. Im also waiting on the numbers from Z1 on their stroked N/A build.

I got to put about 120 miles on the motor so far before I started having tranny problems. I haven't done any full throttle runs but so far just with partial throttle the car is alot louder and the power seems to surge around 2750+ rpm. Below 2750 the torque seems similiar to my bolt on Z. Maybe lost some torque down low but its not drastic. Its very streetable other than the idle. Just normal driving around 2750 the engine sound changes and the car seems to want to accelerate quicker with the same amount of throttle applied. Tomorrow I will post some new video of my Z idling around 1000 rpm with a lope unique yet somewhat like a cammed push rod motor. Also try to get some videos driving on the road.

Alright...got some new video. It was taken at night so the quality isn't great but it gives a good idea at what the car sounds like doing a full throttle run. I was less than a 1/4 mile away when I started accelerate and shifting very slow because of transmission problems yet you can see the car is moving very quickly.

Its fast compared to a bolt on NA 350Z on the top end. I did lose some power down low between idle and around 2750 rpm. Between 2750 to 3500 rpm the power seems to be on par with my old bolt on motor which had 264 rwhp. After 3500 rpm the power starts to surge all the way to 6600 rpm. It feels like I am shifting way to early 6600 rpm because it feels like its still building power. It never feels like the motor is running out of power and choking on the top end. I do notice it has alot more torque in the upper RPM bands. The car really accelerates alot harder from 60 to 120 when I am in the cams sweet spot...it makes this Z pull great on the highway.
The sound is the icing on the cake. It sounds great inside the car! My favorite is the rapid popping sounds it makes when I decelerate...very unique. Video does no justice to the the actual sound...much better in person.
