Nothing to really report yet. . . busy drifting season so far. . .and with work.

. . a friend (welder/fabricator) was supposed to come up from Calgary to take a look and see how much of a PITA it'd be to make some custom headers. He'll be coming up July 12/13th for an event and said he'd look at it then. Hopefully the full suspension setup will be in by then (Kaaz 2-way arrived a few weeks ago)

realistically speaking, I don't think this will be done this season, but we'll see. . .

I'm really starting to lean towards F/I for this build. . .a lot of my friends are finishing up their sr's/ka-t's/RB's/2jz's and they're fun as hell to drive. . .!

I'm back home on the 9th of July and I'll post some pics then!

I've got a question for you guys. . .

the steering lines that go to the steering rack from the pump. . .they're in the way of the bellhousing. . .(i'll bring up the picture tomorrow, it's posted in one of the other pages here. . .

is it possible to get a hose to re-route them? I know a flexing hose isn't the best thing for steering at all but there might be some other material i don't know of lol.

Either this or i'm going to have to remove the entire steering rack and assembly, douse it in a solution to remove any grime/surface rust and get some fittings to reduce the length that they peek out. The nuts were almost stripped trying to remove them. . .

ideas anyone?

seen it done before bro, get some stainless steel braided line and make the line in whatever shape you want. Put some highpressure fittings on both ends (you can get these from any hydraulic repair place). Actually last time my buddy just gave em deminsions and they made the lines for em. I wanna say it was fairly expensive, maybe $20 per foot with fittings and all attatched?

Default Swap

Anyone interested in doing this swap who hasn't already read this thread http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=207033&page=1 should check it out. I know the op just posted there just thought I would make it a 2 way link.

Impressive, that thing is going to be crazy. I love Nissan for the fact the vq can bolt to different cars.

^ welll it doesn't bolt anything...if you read the thread, it's more like an eye surgery with chainsaws. Im amazed at the technical know-how of the originating person. It's like watching a RB26 swap getting done for the very first time.

yeah being a certified nissan tech and having a consul III at your disposal helps out a lot! I'm hoping I can get some pointers for the wiring from him. . .

picking up a turbo tomorrow, going to mock it up and see how feasible a twin turbo would be. . .

more pics to come!

Not many updates still, having quite a few drawbacks right now. Plan was to get the engine out so I could strip the engine bay and grind away at some of the ribbing on the bottom of the block so that it won't come into contact with the steering column but. . .my friend used my engine hoist and neglected to let me know that he was going to europe for a month. . .now it's locked in his garage

Just picking up pieces here and there for the buildup. Cosworth Plenum came in last week. . .

^there's actually one more person on this forum that is doing the same thing, but the other guy seems to be doing more to the exterior as well.

But kudos for the op for being the first, and for using hella sexy parts.
Dam that is beautiful keep up the good work.

ohh well i guess i'll just go straight to stillen supercharger..... or maybe a vq30det single turbo kit... but sweet build

also, are you doing a fuel return conversion? I want to but I don't want to invest 1k into the great AAM kit, but I do want to take advantage of what we have on our car since I am planning to go FI anyways.
