same width as my frame
Sorry I'm almost a year late; I don't know if you've found the answer.
But VQswap sent you a S13 cross member instead of S14, that's why its wider.
S13 uses wider X-member because S13 FLCA is shorter than S14.
Great lovely built BTW

if this is true then s14 and s13 steering racks would not be interchangeable because of mounting points.
sorry i had to look this up

S14 and s13 K-members are for this problem are exactly the same.
I don't understand how you think that because the control arms are shorter would mean the kmember would be wider? The s14 is wider than the s13 and its because of the control arms and not the k-member.

Hmm, you probably right.
The reason i thought so b/c I know S13 FLCA is shorter than S14, I just never thought S14 has wider front track.
Good to know. That X member probably same from the SOHC S13 then

chances are its from a j30 or q45, definatly not from a 240sx at all.

just remember the HR may be harder to fit. the upper oil pan is wider in some places and most importantly they moved the starter to the left side on that. I know the steering clearance in the non z33 chassis's can be a problem .... i would have to look again at the s14 w/ the DE in it to see if it could be a problem.

^^ just over $1400. . .
Don't buy from them, it'd be less of a hassle to make it yourself, and a lot cheaper, and better quality. . .
With all the BS that I had with them, next time it's all custom. . .
