Picking my car up tomorrow with my new headers and camshafts. Hopefully I see some more gains. Got a new radiator and fan as well since my last dyno but doubtful that it does anything to performance on the dyno.

For a second there I thought you werea differe 03threefiftyz, since we almost had the same discussion on G35driver. Since that time I did get a re-tune because of some exhaust gasket problem, that's why you see that extra 7hp gain from my last dyno sheet.

car was not done today, so the car shop said tomorrow night. To say the least, this was a very disappointing news. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow though. I waited nearly 1 months for the items to come, another 2 weeks for a free slot to open for the install, what's another day.

If you wouldn't mind, can you pm what it cost for the cam install? Just for reference. Thanks.

I believe most shop go based on the stated work hours for the job in the service manual, which is 8 hours for cam install. Then from shop to shop the hourly rate is different. From my experience, prices vary from 75-120/hour.

It's not really worth per say, but since I'm going to either stroke/bore out my engine or/and supercharge my engine, I thought I might as well do it step by step and learn on the way.

I think it will be worth it. Hopefully you pick up ~10-15whp throughout and the power holds till redline. That would be enough to sell me on the header and cams.

I really doubt I'm going to be picking much from the headers since I already have equal length ones. However the dimensions on the tomei are quite different (length and diameter), who knows, I'm keeping my expectations neutral on the headers. I only got them to solve the rubbing with my old ones, so you might get dissapointed in the before and after header dyno results. I hope i don't lose power...that would suck major monkey *****.

I was referring to the combo of the 264's and the headers.

Yeah, I know. But the way my car is setup as of now if I do get 15hp, you won't be able to tell whether it's from the header or cam or both. For the price of both you can almost get a supercharger installed, but anyways it's your call to make.

I have had big power turbo cars in the past and find making NA power more fun at this point in my life ( we will see how long that lasts ), but I wanna do a 11:5:1 3.8 stroker with 272's (possibly 280s') at some point, but I might just say screw and get a c6.........we'll see. I would imagine that the 264's should lend themselves pretty well to the stock short block.

The mere fact that they are currently equal length is essentially meaningless. It shifts the power band around a bit, but there are far more cricitcal aspects to a manifold than whether or not it's equal length or not
