Umm...

I would have to then agree. If it should be moved, then I ask the Mods to please move to the more correct subforum.

it won't be stock any longer, but at the time all previous runs were done, it was a stock intake manifold setup, non revup version

Is my intake manifold aftermarket? Nope...and thus, it's stock (sorta). Plus it's got the added hmmm by running the world smallest plenum spacer

I like your answer the best, b/c my numbers suck. It performs nicely compared to several other Z's, but she is no dyno queen. My Type R Integra put down more than this thing all motor with bolt-ons and cams.

as long as you're having fun and learning about the car through the process, that's the most important thing

Very cool video.....what is the difference in weight b/w your chrome volks and factory wheels? The brakes also likely add some rotating mass, which can zap some power. Overall I look at my dyno's in terms of gains over my baseline. In my mind the best way to judge power output is via 1/4 mile traps, but that too can be subject to error (driver).

yeah, I can say that both days when I dynoed, it was humid as hell, hot, sucking in hot humid air w/o a fan in front of intake & my car was cold. It had been sitting for over an hour and they just grabbed it and slapped it on the dyno. I'm gonna dyno it at Rotary Performance and let Chris mess with it. It also has 95K on the odo.

183whp stock? thats is really low. Most stock Z dyno i've seen are 220-230 whp 03-06 non-rev up DE motor...

The 90% humidity, Houston heat, and the fact my engine was completely cold when it ran both times prob. had a little to do with it. I live in Dallas and it's not as bad when it comes to humidity. Also, it was dynoed in 4th, and I heard these cars make more power dynoing in 5th gear. We dynoed an '04 Cobra in 3rd and then 4th and there was about 100whp difference in 3rd. There are some factors that may add up. I'll post new dyno numbers before my next mods.

That's also on a Mustang Dyno, not a Dyno Jet, so prob in 205whp range, still low in my opinion, but I have some factors that more than likely sucked some life out of the motor.

No, not yet. I need some 18's and drag radials, these 19's would spin and a 16 sec. 1/4 would suck.

I guess.....you don't need dr's though. I pull 1.95-2.05 almost like clockwork on street tires. A little spinning off the line keeps the drivetrain from breaking.

True, but I prefer a stickier tire on the track so it hooks up like a street tire on the street. My EVO, I ran street tires on the track, but traction was never an issue. I wouldn't probably break a thing with this pinto....lol
