3.7 in a 350?

It would definitely be easier to use a stroker kit, but if I'm not mistaken you have a DE and will be giving up the updated variable valvetrain. All and all, I don't think its worth the hassels you'll be dealing with for a few months after the motor is in (if you're lucky). I'd spend my resources differently.
I know the 2008 powertrain is completely different from the earlier models.
I am referring to physical differences on the engine and transmission.
For instance the 2008 transmission is a different shape..starter is moved to the other side and the crank angle sensor is relocated. The slave is also internal.
Would the 370 motor bolt to this 2008 tranny?

yeah good luck with the swap
first you would need access to the parts at a decent price
you would need the entire engine and hope it mounts to our tranny (don't think this has been confirmed yet)
then you would need the ecu/wiring harness because the stock ecu isn't going to know wtf do to with VVEL.
after you have the ecu/wiring harness you need to figure out how to get it to work with your stock gauges and other 350z components.
mounting is probably the same but you might need a custom bracket if it isn't.
If I were to attempt this I would have to have found a killer deal on a pristine 370 motor.

Thank you for your response's, i asked if any one has done this yet, not that i was going to do it. I have 3 03' Z motors (2 shells) and found a $800 salvage 370Z with the Engine, harness, ecu and Tranny still in working condition and was wondering if worth buying.
You make me laugh. I was one of the OG members on this site. Look at my join date, i dont post much people jackass's like you have little of credible info if any at all, and unlike 90% of the members of this site, i do all my own work. Plus the 4.2 is weak sauce if your going F/I with a single T78.

$800 might be low enough to make me wanna do the swap if it includes all that.
just noticed you were in plano... if you don't want that 370 let me know. hook it up!
