Tease. (Cams)
Rather than me, an unknown here in Australia asking a maker in New Zealand to supply a set of cams to a chap in Canada that is going to test them for an American magazine, I think the better chance of getting cams supplied from any maker or vendor would be for the Tech editor of Modified magazine to approach the manufactures setting out the scope & size of the proposed test, apox publication date & who else has been invited to submit cams.
They then can then make a commercial decision as to weather or not to participate.
I would also try some of the vendors on this site that appear to have done OK from sales generated from this site & may genarate more sales as result of these tests.

With any luck, I should have some numbers this week. We have been fighting a hard start issue and then a drive by wire throttle that would just quit and then work. I changed out the throttle body and it seems to work but had no available dyno time on Saturday. This motor has 11:1 pistons and JWT C9 cams with Motec ecu.
I should get the car tomorrow. I do not have the dyno sheet yet but I was told it makes a strong 45 degree climb to 300 whp and flattens out to redline.
It is not that far off from the full race motor I had last year.

My guess is they went with the nismo cams. They have a video which list their parts from their car and at the end of the video it says nismo "street cams". im guessing that is nismo r-tune.
OK. This tease crap is killing me. No article last month in Modified, and I still haven't gotten this month's issue in the mail. Meanwhile, I'm putting together pieces for my build. I can't seem to find any good dyno info on cams, either. Sasha must have a gag order. C'mon Sash, give us something to work with here!

You guys should understand that tests like this are extremely labor intensive on a Z, and given that last week was a holiday week in Canada, and it being summertime (vacation time in general) I'm sure they are busy with a bunch of stuff. Not to mention, just getting some of the cams needed for a test like this is not necessarily an overnight affair. Then you have to do the tests, analyze the results, edit it all together content wise, and publish it. I wouldn't automatically expect published results within a 45 day window.
We were involved in supplying a couple sets cams a few years ago for an Evo camshaft test with a major shop. All in that test took about 4 months to do as I recall, and cams on an Evo takes a fraction of the time that it does on a Z.
