I thought I saw in another thread several guys told you the block needed to be clearances for that crank......At any rate a little research would tell you that because I have seen several thread mention it. So I would call that a self inflicted delay.

Anyway hopefully it goes smooth from here on out, and youre up and running in no time.

Thanks captain obvious. The first shop that was paid to build the engine and was given all of the parts did not have the block set for the crank.

That explains why they sat on it for weeks after it came back from the machine shop.

i ended up getting oem washers, but i have a correct set of thrust washers if anyone is interested in some.

on another note, sucks for the delay. but how did you manage to bend 2 bearings?

and on another another note, my heads are FINALLY done and going to the machine shop to get resurfaced tomorrow so i can get them assembled. anyone know what kinda piston/valve clearance i will have with the cp 11:1 pistons, BC 264 cams and stock valves? lol

The bearings were at the top of the second shrink wrapped package. They came bent.

No clue on your valve question.

Shrink wrapped together in 2 packages in boxes.

The odd thing is the main bearings were in a damaged box and were fine. The rod bearings box was fine.

Yup, that is the way the bearings should look.

My block is theoretically almost ready to come back from the machine shop.

My block came back from the machine shop.

It will sit until Monday as the mechanic is going prairie dog killing Friday-Sunday and the oil squirter block off bolts won't be delivered until tomorrow by end of day
