wow, even after the motor is assembled, i'd be scared to death to drive it.
i would get all your parts, have a new shop unbuild whats done and start from scratch. no way in the world would i trust anything that has been done so far. The simpliest things havent gone right and that motor is destined to fail on this path

I am doing nothing until I am back from vacation, the first or second week in July.

Whoo Hoo!
parts are back AGAIN!
Icing on the cake, before the ranting come get your ish I'll eat my time call, he called said these little fasteners that fill holes in the crank were missing so I spent 25 bucks buying them.
I get the parts home (I asked if he looked) and there they were.

Take it easy e30, he was just saying the piston looked knicked (I'm guessing the oil and fiber particles on the piston in the first shot). Yeah, he asked again, but it seemed like a sincere question.
I feel for ya, but there's no way I'd take his word that first piston is in correctly.

No mechanic in his right mind, or worth a damn would build the rest of the motor without checking everything. This is why I am so upset. I now have to pay to have it disassembled, checked & assembled.
I said it was not damage it was oil. Why ask again?
Who among us would not be frustrated beyond belief if they had compiled 5 figures of parts over months, taken them to a shop in freaking February and in late June be picking them up from a second shop?

jesus christ man, what is your deal? quit crying about it like a little girl. its simple, find a shop with vq experience, if you cant find one, ship the stuff off to one that does. im sending my heads across the country, do i like shipping them, no, is it convenient, no, is it cheap, no, but they will be done right. anyway, ill leave you alone since you obviously dont want my input, just make sure you dont rev too high cause piston velocitys can get dangerous on a stoker.

Did I ask for your input? NO. Do I need your input? NO.
The second time you asked did not sound like you were trying to help. I said if you were it did not sound like it, then I said thanks if that was your intent.
Are we done yet?

lol, you jumped on my back for trying to help, what are we even arguing about, jesus man. i asked twice cause when i looked at the first picture, it did NOT look like oil, so i thought you were referring to oil somewhere else. it looked very much like knicks and i didnt want to you leave a damaged piston in the block. you obviously need help cause you arent doing the work yourself and cant find a good shop to do it. all i really was trying to do was help and you got all whiney like a girl on the rag
