nice. but im sure SG already established plenum volume along with a bigger tb and intake makes gains for sure. its just the part of making it work without going to a complete standalone....

From what little info I've read on the larger mafs, it seems that if tuned correctly it shows gains, but it makes tuning quite a bit harder and if the tune isn't exactly spot on, the power curve is peaky and can have startup issues.
I'm prob staying away from the larger ones cause I don't have a ton of faith in my local tuners, but if your tuner has done a de before with good results and has a real good starting point, then I would prob get one, but that's just me

Unless it's a long tube style intake, pass on it.

no real updates, but i finally uploaded a video of the notorious t-chain rattle i have when the car sits for a couple hours. quality sounds bad being so close to the engine but you can hear the rattle when i first start it up.
right now i have cheap advance auto 5w-30 conventional oil and a oem nissan filter. will try some name brand 10w-30 and a wix filter shortly to see if the thicker oil will help. gonna wait til i hit near 3k miles before i switch to synthetic oil tho.

those sound like lifters to me...I cant say I've ever heard my engine make any kinda noise like that. Did you replace the tensioners when you built the engine?
oil wise, you should ask whomever built it what you should be running. 5w30 is awfully thin if the engine was clearanced the way it should be. 10w30 isn't much better No reason you have to wait to make the switch to synthetic, but again, follow your builders suggestion. I broke mine in on regular dino oil, changed it 3 times IIRC before 1000 miles, then changed to synthetic
