I'm not sure how much a change in MAF will gain you power, but that graph is misleading. Most of that power was gained from tuning for the Non Rev lower manifold, not because of the maf itself.

Not sure if you guys know but the Fujita intake system is a 3" tube from filter to TB, which is very similar to the Furookie system sexyrob has tested. One thing that is different from the two is the filter. I think fujita has a velocity stack but not the furookie (just gauging based on the picture). Anyways, there is a clear consistent change in the AFR.

pretty much the way im thinkin is......imma do this small intake shootout on this dynojet and see what gains are made. then when i get my modified lower plenum on....ill put the afe intake back on with it....back to cin and see what gain just the plenum alone gave. then ill put the intake on that gave me better numbers to see what that intake alone gained. THEN, IF i have a 3" maf setup....ill put it on and retune for that to see what gains i further make ![](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon38.gif)

Which graph are you referring to? I can assure you that my car was tuned prior to the change. Only difference was the tube/maf housing. Density altitude was very close (temp and baro were nearly identical). I will dig through my old posts later to see if I posted a graph at some point.

Maybe this will help shed some light on the 3" maf theory.
http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor/6...yno-gains.html
This isn't your typical test since a custom plenum is involved but 3" mafs are said to give pretty good gains.
