as far as the build, it was pretty straight-forward. just make sure you have everything you need and a machine shop that can do the work in a good amount of time and not keep you waiting.

you know you wanna gimme that nismo shift ****
By who? Says who? You realize a tube style intake is the same type that Sasha uses on his 350Z. If you guys would take a few minutes to take your head out your ***, and look around, the answers would be all around you.

I did some reading and before Injen's success with their long tube intakes on the HR/VHR platform, and they made some impressive gains on the DE (I've seen a few dyno graphs on here)

The problem arise when some idiot comes in a thread with no proof of his own, and parrots what other people have told him. So now we have this belief that unlike every other car out there, the VQ's intake system is next to perfect.

You seemed to get offended over an intake comment.

ok pablo, simmer down. you do realize i have a g35 so i have no open ducting like a z does. secondly, on driver....we have dyno proof of which intakes work best on our cars....and other than the stillen airbox, the factory airbox is next best. and im sure, no im pretty positive i'll pick up some hp by gettin rid of this intake as well....but we'll find out for sure when i dyno it again. lastly, shhh

Happy to see it all come together. That's very similar to how mine worked out with similar mods. However, my tuner found an intake restriction in my DE lower collector-5/16 spacer setup, and he estimated the vacuum to be worth substantial losses. I bring it up as something to pay attention to next time on the dyno.

My plan is to switch over to the rev up lower, the loss on the bottom is a non-issue when I'm tracking and in the street I drive like a grandpa.

Who cares if there is open ducting available? You are not understanding the fundamentals on how the intake works and are already discounting because Member *notnosedg35driver* told you the X product works better. Sasha has the most power bolt on VQ on the site, and has put the most time into r&d a well as dyno compared to many of the other members. You can be sure when he does something, there is a good reason behind it.

Of course, it easier to be ignorant and just readily discount something because you don't want to do your own research.

I'm going to stop you right here. You are talking about your *** again, and it's showing. When that picture was taken, that car had JUST bolt ons, including an intake, exhaust and headers. The whole build up has been documented in Sasha thread. 20whp with the addition of just the intake and a Y pipe (not including the Y pipe itself which gained an additional 8whp) back exhaust.

dude stfu already. do i feel like dyno'n diff intakes on my car to see what works better? no. have you done any of this to actually contribute something worthwhile? no. yet, you are going by what someone else (SG) is/has done, so get your head out of your own ***. ive already seen dyno proof of what works, let alone been told by others of what works better. take your shyt elsewhere, not in my thread.

tell me what "stock" car gains 20whp from a CAI and a cat-back exhaust..........none. cuz you forget what motor work they have done AND the extensive amounts of tuning on their EMS. so just lol
