550kg + 300hp!!!
Howdy Y'all
Brand spanking new in here, so go easy!
I've been contemplating a Seven-type kitcar build with a 350Z engine for a while now. I hopefully have a window in my project calendar starting next year, so I took the plunge and got myself a non-running core-engine to strip and re-build with some trick bits!
No idea what was wrong with the engine yet... the external cases are all structurally good... I wonder what I'll find inside!!!
Anyway. The plan is to fix whatever has made it sick and then complete with a set of Jenvey throttle bodies, straight through exhausts and aftermarket ECU.
I'm hoping for 300hp... which in a 550kg rear-wheel drive car should be quite, erm, lively!
Unfortunately I don't have any details from the car that the engine came from. I see it is the non 'rev-up' variant, but I've no clue beyond that! So if any of you eagle-eyed experts can help, then please fire away!!!
I'm a little puzzled about the engine number... it has the serial-number and ends 'VQ35', but there's no further letters after that (I would have expected a 'DE' or the likes... can anyone shed any light???).
I look forward to keeping the thread updated... let the stripping begin!

yes its a nonrev de. put some 11:1 or higher compression pistons, port match your heads and intake. do some stage2 or 3 cams. along with your exhaust, ITBS, and standalone with a custom tune you can easily do 300!!! get a move on it!!!!
