Default Canadian NA Rev-Up Build

So awhile back I noticed engine was burning oil. I kind of expecting this since it was a revup and I knew it was bound to happen. I tired to put it off as long as i could. Until this past fall it was time to pull the trigger. this was not a easy task as there are not many machine shops in my area closest one was a 4 hour drive

Here is the problem related to the TSB for the rev up the oil ring ceases and it cant scrape the oil off the cylinder wall:

Here is the baby in question:

Picked up the motor last friday. Awsome work done by Gord Bush Performance

I initially was going to go with SG long tube headers but the problem is now i have to go for emissions test and I cant spend 9 hours swapping out the heads for standard ones with OEM cats to pass emission tests. So i decided at the last min to go Crawford headers. I also had some old Crawford cats laying around and i will cut out the old cat and put a resonator in.

I'm gonna stick with the rev up plenum for now. did some work on the upper plenum. I probably wont get any gains but it looks cleaner. Ideally I would love to get ITBs, but i cant justify the price. Or somehow mod a HR intake to let the engine breath more, but for now I don't know how to work around the MAF readings, but I'm sure ill find an answer out there since someone has already bypassed it for ITB setup. Also how to get multiple throttle bodies working together. Im sure the answer is out there just gotta dig deeper.

Wish I had more pics but the machine shop was too far away to get pics on progress.

Back home on the stand
Partially assembled
Closer..
Upper Plenum work

Car goes in the shop June 4th. Then the painful task of finding a tuner that's not hours away. But if i had to do it all over I'd drop in a HR and buy the harness adapter from Z fever, but its a little too late now oh well.

nice to see someone doing an NA "build" that isn't just a few bolt-ons, lol Nice work OP definitely in for results! 11.5:1 will be pretty gnarly, I would love to see an ITB setup on a G as well!

Bore out the pistons more than .020mm and got with 12:1. You will gain from that. I would do that if I had the option to redo my pistons.

Thought about it, but didn't go back and check. Just a word of advice to the viewers then.

Like i said if i had to redo it id get a HR and get a harness from Z Fever. Just a point of curiosity but 12:1 What kind of octane would that require and also would stock injectors suffice? As for results that will be a while gotta locate a tuner that can do a same day tune there are not many options for a up rev tune around here. and by not many i mean 2 both hours away

ProEFI, probably Haltech, Motec. It's big money.
