Default Would this work? Has anyone thought about this?

So, I know other people have successfully mated larger throttle bodies to the DE. Granted with extensive modification.

I know, that people have taken upper and Lower HR intakes and used them on DEs, but its expensive.

Has anyone ever, taken two DE upper plenums, removed the neck from one and welded it to the other one. Then using two throttle bodies that way.

A double necked upper plenum with dual throttle bodies with no other modification. Wouldn't this be the same thing as 140mm single throttle body?

I think controlling it, along with the plumbing of the coolant lines will cause it not to work...

Just get an HR engine/tranny/harness and save up 2k for the rewiring, and boom stock twin intakes!

True.

I just had a fleeting thought, you know, sitting on the throne and surfing the net.

What I should do is swap out the HR that's in my wife's EX35 when she's not looking. Haha!

best option your going to have is the sfr intake since they include the extra TB as well as the driver box for it, gona be over 3k though. your not going to see any major benefit to it, the engine just isnt big enough.

After you did all this(add another throttle body/mod to manfold/figure out
how to make it work&fit),what would be the results?
I've got a Mines throttle body.Could be the results (excellent)I've gotten
plus a spacer and smoothing of the inside of the plenum would be the
same?Also,at less cost.

It is the most efficient after all, I dynoed my 03 box vs 06 box and K&N and got like a 5hp increase which is on par with other intakes. I have the Stillen now mostly for looks and sound, as it looks cleaner than the stock one. One of these days I am going to try to do some modifications to seal it off completely from the engine bay like the stock box.
