Default 4.083 gears

Hey guys, first time posting here. I have an 03 6mt Z, and I'm looking to swap in a 4.083 ring and pinion. I was wondering if a set from an N/A 300zx would work. May be more cost effective if I can find a used set.

Any experience and/or knowledge would be appreciated!

Yes Frontier 4cyl King Cab or something. I never heard of it referenced to the 300zx

I think it would be over kill for a daily driver unless your highest speed limit is 55mph. I cruise 85mph... Plus it would cause traction issues in first and second which gets you know where.

When you sit in traffic all day the extra gearing makes it a dream with a manual trans. And even with a nearly stock car and 265s I can spin first so it's a useless gear anyways.

What is your rpm at 75mph? I would agree that would be a plus for traffic

I'm stock with this car. My 37s had 4.08s on it and it was my daily. No mileage hit and it only went up I believe 2-300rpm.
