My 3.5 intake setup with 3.5 velocity stack and R2C filter.

Both lowers are ported with a 1/2 spacer.

Sorry for the sideways pic.

After replacing the elbow on that upper it will be less Nissan oem part than modified. Kind of like Darth Vader. Also I am purchasing some upper plenums so in the future I can offer a core charge service as well as quicker turnaround.

Cocky, my upper plenum is powdercoated can you work with something like that or am I better of getting a spare?

I can but it's not going to look good around the weld area. Also the new part will be raw AL.

I just wanted to post this to show how lean the car was from 4500 to redline. Still made power and this car is so consistent. These runs are 12 min apart. I have purchased 2 upper plenums for cores for anyone that needs a zero down time solution. For anyone new to thread this modification is only for use with a 09' Maxima throttle body, you will have to supply the throttle body and adapter harness.

Progress. The hardest part of this is making flanges. Going cnc after this batch. Not cutting as far as the prototype as it's the initial 90 turn that is awful.

Default How Ironic!

I'm literally working on something very similar to your project. It's nearly finished up...

Would anyone like to see it so far? I won't have test results until the end of summer. The race shop I use is newly relocated and still setting up the dyno.

Here is a shot of my fixture showing milled clearence in the plenum and oem neck in it's original location.

The start of the T/B flange.

T/B flange in progress.

It's seems the attention span of this discussion has been exceeded.

Nope I've asked him to send mine back and have had no luck. Thank god it was just an OEM plenum.

Still, a plenum is still worth something and can be modded usefully. Sucks more for the person with the modded OEM plenum in the pic. Hope he ends up finishing it, as they have already been cut up in that pic..
