So today I had the fun of packing the car with the engine and most of the new parts, plus old for the machinists to check out.
The main question that popped up was about the main ARP bolts I have.
Seems like arp want them torqued to 60ft lbs, compared to the de bolts which are max 38ft lb. So we wondered if this is going to cause some bore distortion.
This was our main concern, and thought I'd ask for any other na builders that ran into this.
If it's a problem I'll have to go with stock or hr and do one of the options available to make them fit correctly.

are your ARP main studs actual studs (as in stud, washer, nut) or bolts(as in bolt and washer)??
Do you have pictures of this hardware and/or a link?
60ft-lbs on a nut & stud acts much differently than 60ft-lbs on a traditional bolt
No worries Rob - I would follow the ARP instructions.
and by bore distortion, do you mean bore-distortion of the crank or the cylinders?
Either-way, I wouldnt worry about it distortion at 60 ft-lbs on the mainstuds.
If you can or have interest in headstud / mainstud installation HPA has a webinar on them - unfortunately it's behind a paywall and you'd have to be a member but they put out all kinds of high quality stuff.
We were talking about crank bore distortion, rather than cylinder.
Yep, that's a great channel/resource. I'm just waiting to see if they have a sale tomorrow as I'd like to get a couple of products they sell too.
The guys at the shop said I can still try them out in the first assembly to check clearances etc
