Default Newbie to 350Z, want to say hello.

Hey guys, I was refer to this site by a friend from maxima.org. I found very usefull informations in this site. I'm a owner of a 2k1 maxima which has a lots of modifications and also a stock 2004 Murano. The reason I'm here is I'm thinking of buying another car probably this year, I'm debatting between a 350Z and a G35, what's best than to talk with the Z owner to gathered usefull informations.

I dont have specific questions for now, but I will certainly have soon, after I have read all the FAQ and spend some time browsing the forum.

Cheers

AA

You will definitely pick the 350Z. You obviously already have enough vehicles with 4 seats+. You need a 2 seater sports car. Not a 4 seater luxary car, you go the Max already.

With this kind of welcome that would be tough to come to this board and say hey guys I'm buying a G35 without considering the Z. Like many said I have enough room in my other car so the 350Z might be the way to go. My strategy to not have to deal with a P*ssed off wife is:

Few months ago I started talking about the possibility of buying either a M5 or a Skyline GTR and for many weeks I kept talking about it and showing her pics of both car and actually she liked both, but when she asked how much were the 2 cars, I replied the M5 was 100K US and the skyline 70KUS she almost died of a heart attack ( kidding ) she though I was completely crazy. I then stop talking about it, I didn't want her to be mad at me or become crazy so since the last few weeks I started the same song about the Z, one day that I was late, she asked why I was late than usual, I said oh I stop at the dealer to look at the Z, I brought her some Nissan brochure so she can take a look at it, so then she proceed with the usual question how much is it, I then reply with oh it's only 40-50K today she told me I should buy the Z, cuz the Skyline & M5 sound like too expensive and I have to think about my retirement not spending all my money before and blah blah blah. The worst of all is I had no intention of buying the M5 or the Skyline GTR, it was just part of my strategy to possibly acquire the Z, well unless the rumor is thrue about the Skyline, apparently Nissan might introduce it in Canada in 2007 but this might just be a rumor and the Z is here righ now so end of story. Sorry for long post but now you guys know my secrets.

Cheers

If you have the patience, wait til 2007. A bunch of nice cars are coming out that year.

Welcome to the board...

If you bought the Maxima & Murano from the same place, you should have some good leverage to swing a good deal on a Z! It happened with another member of the board...

what Z is 40-50k?

I mean, other than the grand touring roadster, none even break 40!

it really is a 25-40k car if you want to give her a reverse heart attack

and welcome

In Canada, you're looking at 40-50K... my 2003 Track had a MSRP of 48K.
