Well this is my first post, been a member and owner for a while now but I have just been lurking in the shadows.

So I was just out getting groceries, because we all know what a great grocery getter the Z is. This guy about 20 or so comes up to me while I am putting the stuff in the back and says to me..."nice eclipse". I was a bit taken back by what he said and really could not help what came out of my mouth, which was..."don't F#*&#$&g insult me". So the conversation goes on from there and I explain to him that it is not an eclipse, but a 350Z. Which I believe is a far superior car.

All the way home I was pi##$d off. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before?

 

Haha! That wouldn't upset me as much as when my gf says my car is FUGGIN CUTE!! Damn girls.

 

how do they mistake the 2 cars?! i had someone ask if i had the yellow civic once, I had a VW GTI. idiots!

 

I know what you mean bro. Sometimes people arent car enthusiasts like us and may not know one car from the other but then again there are soem as*h*les who come and say nice "little" car you drive liek our Z is nothing. But just ignore them!

 

I had an 03 VW GTI that somene called a civic once as well. I guess that everything I drive is going to get mistaken for something else.

 

Nissan put about 30,000 350Zs on the road each year. Compared to many other cars, that is a small percentage. Car enthusiasts may not recognize the 350Z, but they know that they like it. A complement is a complement.

 

They call mine a porsche which is pretty funny. but i don't mind. i like the complements lol.. i mean i doubt he ment to say the wrong car. not everyone has the luxury of buying a Z.

 

If I was you I would've been like hey take a look at this. I would've walk over to the front corner panel side that he is near and pointed to the Z emblem on the side and would've said damn I didn't know eclipses have a Z emblem. You freaking retard....lol !

 

omg... thats why i bought my car. i first saw the Z 2 years ago driving down the freeway. a red Z on the lane on the right of us but up a few spots. My dad was like probably some rich kid in that car like always. And I was like damn that car is soo cute... So we drove up more and When i saw the driver, I was shocked. It looked like an 80 year old grandma wearing a bright red outfit, hat and red lipstick. To me, the old lady driving the car was cute.

And "nice" job of making Zzz owners look classy.

For folks not into cars the Eclipse & Z would look similar.

 

It says 350Z on the back. He knew what kind of car it was. He was busting your chops. To see what kind of reaction you were going to have.
