Default New to site- had my Z for a year now...

Hi all-
I'm new to the site and I've had my '03 track Z for about a year now..... I am trying to decide where to start off w/ modifications to my Z, and being a female and being from Delaware it's not easy to get good and reputable advice..... Any help anyone could offer would be great.... It already has an exhaust system that the previous owner took the liberty of adding...
Thanks....

welcome!

it all depends on what you want out of the car.

if you want hardcore power go for turbo or supercharger, if not get a intake maybe lower it upgrade your brakes etc.

or you could always go with just looks.... boky kit wheels etc.

like i said it all depends what you want from the car

good luck and post some pics

Hey Laura,

Welcome to the board. It's hard to make performance changes in the winter, but a good wheel and tire package will yield the best perfomance for the money. This is probably the best time of year to make said purchase aswell. You may also want to just get a good stereo system and alarm, and wait until spring to get performance oriented.

You will get more responses if you post in the "general forum"; try posting with a title such as "Lady Z owner looking for help on moding Z".

You'll get lots of responses; about 2/3s will ask you for your picture but the other 1/3 will be helpful!!

Thanks for all the replies... perhaps I should start posting on the main forum w/ a title like "Lady Z owner..." as you suggested- even if only 1 out of 3 people are helpful that'll still get me somewhere

I think I will definitely focus more on my stereo or perhaps wheels and tires for now since it is winter, and as for when spring comes around- I think I will hopefully go for a supercharger.....

Thanks again for the advice....

eh, usually people go hardcore mods in the winter, or atleast i thought since they wont be using their car as much in the winter. But is this ur daily driver? If not, then i would recommend winter start on the forced induction since they take a while to get done properly and ordered, as for wheels, those u can just pop on, no additional labor or anything.

Unfortunately for now it is my daily driver, so it will definitely be tough to find time to get the labor-intensive work done.....

bxd164- Are you by any chance from the Philly area (i.e.- near Delaware)?- if so.... where do you go to get your work done?- or do you handle most of it yourself?

If you keep abreast of the regional forum, you’ll see that one of the most popular tuner shops is CarVersion2 in Wilmington, DE.

I used to live close to Philly...I live near Reading now. I do most of the work myself and do the rest of it up at my car club shop.

+1 on Car Version 2. It's real close to you (about 1-2 min drive from the 141 exit of I-95), they have a fair amount of experience on the 350Z and they have a real nice 350z TT shop car. That is the shop that I use.

Check out their web site: http://carv2.com/site/index.cfm
